Reflections of Downtown

in #cityscapephotography6 years ago (edited)

As you've probably already guessed, most of what I shoot tends to be nature/landscape scenes. Growing up in the countryside I thought of cities as a dirty and grimy concrete jungle. I live in a city now but I still have difficulty with seeing the beauty in urban landscapes, so when I go wandering with my camera I tend to be shoot the odd, off-kilter, and the unusual.

The off-kilter reflections on the building on the left caught my eye and is why this photo came about in the first place. The building on the right is the tallest building in Louisville and it along with the building being reflected and the one doing the reflecting are some of the more recognizable portions of the skyline here.

Not sure which of @photocircle's categories this should go under, so I'm just calling it city . . . now to use my banner for the first time!

This is really cool! The reflection looks crazy as hell!

Thanks! If I ever get around to writing dystopian fiction, I intend to use this as the cover art.

Cool! I will wait for it! 😀

Fantastic shot! Creepy pattern! Love it! :)

Thanks! Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable, no?

Triple Yes!

may i vote twice? :P hahahah incredible one :)

Haha, wouldn't that be nice! Thanks you!

Hahah 😄😄 yeah! U welcome!

That is a stunning photo! What an incredible reflection. I love the intricacy of the pattern of the reflection and the pattern of the domed building building!

Thanks! The reflection definitely grabbed my attention, I'd been shooting the building being reflected but had a better idea once I saw the reflection. I love the contrast between the sharp, neat lines of the buildings and the warped and wild lines in the reflection.

It is a fabulous photo!

Thank you for your contribution to the "pc-city" tag

Cheers,
@photocircle Team
