@fulltimegeek Gave Me an Extraordinary Gift

I had the surprise of my life today when I checked my wallet. I needed the help of @lyndsaybowes and @wwf to track down my most generous benefactor, @fulltimegeek.
I have been plodding along here since June this year. It took me a while to get my feet wet. I lurked a bit, read posts and upvoted and commented. Then I started to post.
I am not a techie and I am finding my way, perhaps a little slower than others. Even though I thought I was adding value to steemit, and I was gathering a few followers, I was lacking confidence.
Then this miracles of miracles happened. Who on earth thought enough for my posts and comments to be worthy of this gift? @fulltimegeek, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this leap of faith in me.
This has really taken me off guard. I am left speechless, which is very rare for me. I have no adequate words to describe what I am feeling at this moment.
I want to be able to pay it forward. I need to think how would be the best way to reward and engage people. Steemit needs good content and curators in order to grow. I may not have been here long, but I see the value in Steemit to engage people in ways that have never been imagined.
Steemit is a true community. I wish to help other plankton and minnows get some recognition for what they do. I still consider myself plankton as I have much to learn.
I don’t know @fulltimegeek, as I know some others here, but I hope in the future I will get to know him better. This gift is huge and very generous. So, thank you again, from the bottom of my heart for this wondrous gift and your faith in me.

You really picked someone that loves to leave uplifting and solid comments on people's post. She has a way (a good way) with words that make people feel respected.

I will but I hope to use it to promote more engagement here in steemit. It is the only way we are going to continue to grow.
Engagement is the key to success individually and as a whole platform. There are many problems currently and there will be many more to deal with in the future, but through engagement we can defeat these problems

I see you commenting on so so many of the people that I enjoy reading, and you always have something nice to say to them. It is always a pleasure to see yours and @kiwidebs comments, after I have finished reading someones post. Good comments lead to more good comments, or at least more of a comment than "nice post".
Thank you, @bashadow. I try to be thoughtful and honest in all posts and comments. I know how I feel when I work hard on a post and get a "nice post" or "follow me". Steemit needs more engagement.
