10 Days of Reflection - Day 1
So posting every day for me is now getting a little bit tricky, coming up with a new and creative post every single day is rapidly depleting my already lack lustre ideas for unique content. I really appreciate all the support from my followers new and long term, and I know you all enjoy my posts best when I put a decent amount of content - both pictures and text into them. Today was going to be a gaming video of Star Wars Battlefront - but I did not get chance to do it - maybe tomorrow. And I also have the next post in my Gaming PC series - but again I don't have the back up footage to make that. So I was a bit stuck yet again.
Fortunately once again my good friend @old-guy-photos saved the day, I know I mention him in my posts alot - but after all it is all down to him I am posting here on Steemit - so I think he deserves a good bit of advertising. Anyway I was browsing his blog and discovered he was doing a brand new challenge called #tendaysofreflection which you can learn about here https://steemit.com/tendaysofreflection/@ilovedietcoke/10-days-of-reflection-introduction a challenge developed by @ilovedietcoke - who I have to say has the most uniquely creative account name I have come across yet - I salute you for that 🙌🏽
The challenge goes:-
10 Days of Reflection Photos (mirrors, water, etc)
Tag your post with #tendaysofreflection
Title your post "10 Days of Reflection"
Nominate a friend if you wish
Have fun and be creative!
So for day 1 I present three photos, fresh from taking down the Christmas Decorations I still need to remove the hooks from the roof that were holding them up. The lighting isn't great but that's what you get for posting late at night.
The bathroom mirror worked better but it has seen better days, like me it is getting a bit old and tired and frayed around the edges.
I could of course leave this post right here, some pictures and text for a Photo Challenge - good enough for sure. But these are exciting times on Steemit, and in the past 24 hours I have seen alot happening so let's add in a bit of a round up as well.
In the last seven days we have seen the value Steem climb dramatically, and so too have our post rewards. Today though I have seen my rewards drop back with the lower value of Steem - in the region of 6 SBD drop from this mornings value to tonights - that's a big post value drop.
Cryptocurrency markets are particularly volatile though, my personal feeling which is most likely wrong is to hold your stake and build it - don't be tempted to sell out while it seems high - for sure the best value is yet to come.
This does lead me to the HOT tab on Steemit, since I started I browsed the posts on here and looked with awe at the massive reward value they have. Right now I looked and @pressfortruth has a post valued at $950 SBD rewards 🤔 When I started out and even until recently getting a fraction of a $1 SBD was a challenge. It is easy to see why so many people create accounts and then just give up within a few weeks - but really if you made the effort starting out here you have to understand it takes a long time, 100's of posts with little reward - to grow your own stake and start getting bigger and better rewards for your posts.
I would have edited this to say YOUR STEEMIT NEEDS YOU but it's too late at night and I think you get the general idea. Look through the NEW tab, when you find posts you like follow the poster and upvote and comment on their work. If you like their work and others do, try to do something similar while still making it unique to you. @old-guy-photos said it best to me - create your Steemit content to be like the content you enjoy viewing on Steemit.
If you follow a group of posters, and always comment and upvote their work then you have a far greater chance of getting upvotes and comments in return. You can comment on posts without even upvoting it, if you leave a witty or clever comment your comment can get upvoted - you will be amazed at how much you can make from comments alone and it costs you nothing at all.
Comments are also a great way to get your own posts seen for free, when someone takes the time to comment on my own posts I always take the time to look at their blog and upvote a post or two. When you comment on a post you remind the poster about you, so take the time to do it and they might just reward you. But remember if you do comment try to make it related to the post and something the poster will appreciate - it is easy to set up a comment Bot but most people hate it - avoid leaving a nice post comment, or a begging one asking for a follow or linking your own posts. If you leave a nice comment the poster will most likely take the time to check out your blog - if you beg for upvotes, follows and drop your own posts links in then most likely they will avoid you.
If you have SBD spare then investing it in posts will pay out. Use the best tool out https://s3.amazonaws.com/yabapmatt/bottracker/bottracker.html#bid<< to monitor the bids on the upvote services. To make it clearer uses the dropdown in Setttings section to choose POST REWARDS. Look at vote value - this is the Upvote Value of the bot, look at Total Bid Value - if this is higher then the Vote Value then it is not worth bidding on the bot. The lower the Total Bid Value compared to the Bot Upvote value the better the return you will get from a vote to the bot. So increase your bid based on the size of the total bid value - smaller total bids will give greater rewards.
Upvoting is quite simple, you go to your wallet, click the down arrow at the far right of Steem Dollars, and then choose to transfer funds. Add the account name to send the funds to, the amount of funds and the post to upvote in the memo tab.

I've loved all of reflective ideas people have come up with for this one! I always try to promote @old-guy-photos when I can too. :D
I’m going to avoid looking through them until I have finished my own - so I can’t be tempted to copy. Chances are duplicates will occur because there are only so many pictures you can do with Mirrors. Paul
Said he was going to give me 100 for all my promotion work - although he didn’t say exactly what I would get 💬
Don't feel the need to limit yourself to mirrors, there are lots of reflective surfaces!
You get 100 1% upvotes...one a year of course LOL
Thank you! lol
Check out new tipuvote! feature :)
Thank you @c0ff33a for sharing the info on the upvoting. I am not sure I will use them, but, it is nice to know this stuff is out there.
I like use of the mirror - I am on day one and need to come up with ten days of interesting thoughts? Oi! I may be in trouble here.
I like the mirror trick. Thanks! :) Don't worry I will try to be original.Maybe. Hopefully.
At least it will be over on my blog. Have a great day! tip!
Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment - for sure use the mirror effect on your own challenge - you will make for a far prettier picture 😉
Hehehe! Doubtful!
@dswigle Think things like windows, shiny metal surfaces, water, oil, eyes etc. There is a huge amount of scope for reflections. Good luck with the challenge, have fun and just keep your eyes open for the next few days. You will probably be amazed by the number of reflections you never pay attention to in normal life.
Thank you so much for all informations , really your posts rich of informations always I'm waiting your next useful post.
all of things clear in your post except send 3SBD to buildwhale huh
I want to become bot its possible? but after 3 months
Thanks for taking a look my friend - buildawhale currently has an upvote value of over $1000 sbd - so bidding $3 sbd will get a slice of that upvote - it might only upvote your post by $8 sbd but any increase is a good one as far as I am concerned.
Thank you @c0ff33a for promoting this post together with https://steemit.com/budget/@jerrybanfield/introducing-steem-budget-proposals
Thanks for some useful info in here. Being rather new to Steemit it really is helpful. While posting on here everyday can sometimes seem a daunting task, I look at all the time I have invested in other social media sites that have only made the owners wealthy (IG, FB, G+). I am greatful that at least this platform is somewhat decentralized and has a focus to pay the actual content creators. That being said - it does seem that Steemit can be automated with bots and black hat methods to get more interaction and upvotes. I think this is a bit sketchy at best because on other platforms there is not a monetary value added to the post. Maybe it’s just me - but I think the bots running multiple accounts on Steemit and posting in group upvote pools seems a bit unethical... oh well. Where a buck can be made, I guess it will draw out the good and bad in folks.
4.01% @pushup from @c0ff33a
I am really jelous of you, it would be awesome if i have a creative juice to actually post something daily.
Hey some people are doing 10 posts a day plus! One a day for me is fine, I just quite like making each post a decent bit of my own content with plenty of text and images. Thanks for taking a look.
Very original the pictures in the mirror and their reflections! Congratulations my dear friend @c0ff33a! Thank you.
Thank you for taking a look and the kind words.
Thanks for participating in #tendaysofreflection! It really pushed me creatively and I’m lookin forward to seeing what you come up with. Also, thanks for the compliment on my user name, I really do love Diet Coke!
Thanks, to be honest it will be seven posts rather then days to fit it in around my posting schedule. But I will use the tag when I do a post.
I'm just happy that you're participating. If you need to cut it a little short, I totally understand.
