Why Did I Do It??
Hi Friends,
I did a dumb thing yesterday and updated my iPhone 6s to the newest operating system. What this has done is make it so my phone takes an impossibly long time to charge, and then will not hold a charge, as it drains super fast when using it.
Apple has faced lawsuits for causing older versions of iPhones to become almost unusable after a new one is released, and they are apparently still keeping to that strategy.
This is how I am feeling today about Apple and my phone:
I am a light users of the cell phone, mostly just texting, using a few apps, and light web surfing. My phone has been working great for a long time, but the update really got me.
Only question now is: what should I do about it?
Time for a new iPhone? Time to ditch Apple and go to droid? Time to get off the grid?
Any advice?

Sorry to hear of this problem.....indeed updates are full of surprises and not always the pleasant kind...right? ^__^

Regarding your queries.....it seems most of the cell phone companies are operating in this manner. Perhaps an idea would be to take it to a repair centre to hear their take......and see if they can change it back it the previous operating system.

Thank you for the kind words my friend. Unfortunately, I may just need to upgrade but it’s frustrating that they essentially force you to do it. Oh well! Best to you and yours as well!
It might just be a coincidence, you battery might have finally taken a crap. In your settings you can check how healthy your battery is. My iPhone 6 would die after about 5 hrs of sitting there. So I changed the battery and it still works like a champ. I picked up the kit for it on ifixit.com it was really cheap for the kit and battery.

The Apple strategy, drain the battery, we just happen to have a new IPhone 11 Pro selling for $1149, time for an upgrade.......
Its the same strategy Samsung is using somehow your phone just gets slower with a lower battery life once the new version is released.

I think time for a new IPhone. New versions are quite better than old versions like battery backup even fast charging.
