GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

They stand at the edge of the small universe that is my House & garden, scanning the events in the outer space. They are the funny bunch always ready for slapstick action and heroic deeds in the name of humor and good mood.

One of them, the cat on the following photograph, called Miles ...

... because sounds a lot like the Miles Davis trumpet on the "On the corner" album ... and some other albums ... but I remember that one most vividly, so his name... and his voice too ... is connected exactly with that record ... that cat, my friend Miles ... even looks a bit like Rocket ... his face looks pretty Raccoonish. There is a restaurant just across the street from my house, and in Summer Miles often returns home with some cool catch in his teeth, a stuffed squid, some big fish head or a sausage. Hi put's it very proudly in front of me and the rest of the bunch, and then I take the knife and cut the thing in small pieces ideal for cat consumption. Then we all eat what Miles provide us ... I mean :D I'm just pretending to eat and I'm always saying out loud things like : Bravo Miles, you are a great hunter ! Great job pal ! You did it well another time !
There is a lot of similar stuff happening with many cats around, but I won't talk about that, I wanna say now a few words about the Guardians of The Galaxy movies, because I love to write rambling posts that jump from this to that like a happy flea jumps from cat to cat. When the first movie came out, I went to see it in the theater. I went because a friend was going, and I was in the mood for a movie, bud didn't know anything about this one and I also never read the original comics, so I really didn't know what to expect. I was very happy and entertained that evening, I had quite a few authentic laughs and that movie is high on the list of my happy cinematic memories. I especially liked the way the music is implemented in the movie ... how simple, emotive and at the same time logical the reason for all those cool old songs to be there in the deep, far out space, is. And those songs fitted the action perfectly, in a very funny, warm and silly way.
I saw the second movie in the theater too ... mostly because I liked the first one so much ... and I was ... I don't know ... a bit disappointed and a bit not ... something like that ... it's a nice and dynamic movie, far from boring ... but is mor a Kid movie, with Kid jokes ... and many moments too cute for its own good ... it's ok, but I didn't had a blast watching it, the jokes were too childish and predictable for a sincere laugh. I was already too old for that shit at that time :D
Maybe in the number 3 the magic from the first movie will return. Yep. And that's it. Here this abruptly started double movie review - abruptly ends.
