A major Milestone: 1000 Follower, 7000 post/comments
August 1st 2017, I joined steemit. Today May 6th 2018, I got my 1000th follower. Today was my 279th day on Steemit. Here is where I stand now on Steemit:

I would like to thank all the people that have chosen to follow me. I know a lot of people measure success on steemit by how big a following they have, and for that you all have my thanks.
I am most happy with how my SP has grown over the last five months. An increase of 225SP (45SP a month). This has allowed me to start paying it back by being able to support other people with small donations of SP, and still stay above the 500SP level to maintain the standard vote slider. This is very important to me as I like to vote and comment on people's content, and most of those votes go to the newer/smaller accounts on steemit.
The growth of my Reputation is a little bit slow, but that is of no consequence to me, yes like everyone else I would like it to be bigger, but it grows slowly over time, and I will get to the 60's when I get to the 60's. A 1.65 increase really is not that bad.
Moving forward, I think I will continue to do what I have been doing for most of the year and that is supporting the new users via the @Newbieresteemday Initiative, and participating in @thedarkhorse "Pay it Forward" contest, and in Asher's (@abh12345) Curation and Engagement League 2. All three of these programs aid and support the new user and the smaller accounts on steemit. If you are looking for some inexpensive fun, no vote needed in most cases, check out @newbiegames, the sister account of the Newbieresteemday group. They find and sponsor games and challenges that do not have high entry fees, (a vote, a resteem, mandatory voting on participants). Some do require a vote, but that is generally to help with the prize pool.
If you are looking for a place to play in a long running game with a lot of challenges, and a group of players that are some of the nicest people I have met on steemit you might want to try @apolymask's IFC game. Season one is almost getting to the wrap up stage but there is still time to play, and see if you like it for when season 2 starts up. Visit @IFC to see the latest catch up rounds and some of the entries from previous rounds.

Thank you for your support, It made using a slider and reaching more people so much easier. I feel I am well on my way, and have even in a small measure been able to help a couple out with small donations of SP. I have reached well over 500SP now, up to an amazing 544 of my own, so your boost really really did help. Congrats bashadow! I think you and charisma and davemccoy are the most deserving people I've met on here so far personally. There's a lot of great people on steemit, but you 3 seem to be some of the most helpless and selfless and you have less SP to go around than some of the more benevolent people on here so i could only imagine what it would be like if you were whales, or high SP accounts at least.. I think all 3 of you deserve that and I hope in time steemit allows that to be a possibility for all of you.
You're definitely a lot better for steemit than a lot of these people with a lot of SP who are only enriching themselves and don't really care about the community and keeping steemit healthy into the future.

Thank you for all the work you do, you help keep two of my favorite places running, IFC and Newbieresteem, and have time for both the discord groups, I am just amazed at the amount of work you do, and am glad I follow you also.
i am finding some awesome people through those groups and hopefully make even more connections there are so many awesome people who use both platforms; steemit and discord!!!
Yes there are, I had to do that discord spring cleaning thing not to long ago, I just kept find and finding more and more dicords to go to, and now I need to trim back again already, you'd think I would learn, but noooo, I just have to look, it's like trying to drive by a car wreck and not look, impossible to do. So next week another discord trim coming up back to the original 3, + 1. and then i really have to stop, but we both know that will only last so long.

I'm getting there, I just get real busy sometimes. Getting ready to look at the F-word history lesson soon. Are any of vids the F-Word audio wave? I may have to wait til next week to hear/watch the vids, My internet carrier has throttled my speed down, I used all my highspeed data, and don't get a reset until the 12th. so vids and audio don't run so well right now. Even have a problem with post that have a lot of pictures. But such is life in the boonies, at least I can still read and type.
A quick look, looks like you have been very busy. I have been enjoying a few spring days here in Alaska, so far we are having a pretty normal spring, and did get a few nice photo hunt drives in this week. Hope to get a few more evening ones, pretty soon there won't be many golden hour photos for my wife to take so we need to get a stock pile for the few weeks we have no sunset. This year is just flying along. Don't forget to get out and enjoy some nice weather.

Kind of funny really, it was you that got me to sign up all those months ago, and who at the time would think that you would be the 7000 comment I made, only a couple hours after my 1000th follower. one of those nice coincidences.

Thank you, these type post are not that easy to do, I hope I don't start flying through the numbers like you did, seems like every other week, you need to find a new way to say thank you, but that is good, because it means you have people coming to see your post, and you have some great ones. My post content, nowhere near as refined as yours are, mostly just the try to help new users post and game post. I am not much of a content creator, but I do love voting and commenting on peoples post, especially the new users. Although I still have my favorite Authors to visit every day also.
Congrats!! 1000 is a big number to hit. Have my eye on that one wondering how long it's going to take.
Also thank you for mention the contest. It just keeps growing and loving all the entries and exposure to newer members out there.
It was the contest that pushed me over the top I think, so won't take you long. People like getting a comment on their post, almost as much as they like the vote, but I have been running into more and more that want the comment more than the vote. It is a great contest that you came up with. I have a back log of people to present, but I am going to stick with the three at a time, that allows time to get 3 or 4 entries covered a day, and to also vote and comment on the entries.
