Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.24) - Stop along the way

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 months ago

Yesterday was a very fruitful day if we talk about my practice in drawing, because having finished one drawing in which I depicted pearl divers I immediately started the second drawing, which I called “Stop along the way.”

Yes, inspiration is a substance that often looks like a rope ladder that was lowered to you from a flying helicopter and you need to have time to reach this ladder and jump onto it.

If this is not done the helicopter will fly away and you will have to wait again for another helicopter to appear on the horizon.

I decided not to miss this opportunity especially since after the first drawing I pretty much stained the kitchen table with graphite and I didn’t want to clean up after myself twice lol and it’s very difficult to remove graphite from the surface of the table I’ve already tested this in practice.

So, another drawing for the wonderful [Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.24) You can win Steem. Congratulations to the winners from competition 23](https://steemit.com/hive-185836/@xpilar/pencil-drawing-new-competition-no-24-you-can-win-steem-congratulations-to-the- winners-from-competition-23) organized by Dear @xpilar I called it “Stop along the way.”

I depicted a situation where a man, who was comfortably riding a horse-drawn cart along a forest road, decided to stop near a small swamp check the horse’s harness, adjust it so that nothing would cause discomfort to the horse perhaps give the horse some water to drink and some oats to eat.

The man spent his precious time on this instead of whipping his horse and rushing to his destination with the breeze but he thinks not only about himself and his desires he has a different attitude towards life and I like that about him.

As usual I started by writing the date and my nickname in the corner of a piece of paper in my sketchbook.

DSC00035.JPG

I can’t say that the idea came to me instantly but at some point I realized that I wanted to see a wheel and this wheel should correspond to the idea namely in it it would be possible to trace the change in some of our plans.

Dry geometry is a cool thing and the pictures that are subordinated to it look great but my imagination told me that don’t look at the cup placed on its side, where I could see an almost perfect circle from the same angle as I imagined this wheel.

A circle it symbolizes constancy without any change and an ellipse it has room for both acceleration and braking.

If I don’t think only about pleasing the critics I will draw a drawing a correct drawing which I will soon forget about if I lose its meaning but a drawing with meaning will remain in my memory.

Because the wheel looks appropriate for the occasion lol so to speak.

DSC00036.JPG

This is a cart not a cab therefore it is quite clear that one day a second wheel axle will appear.

DSC00038.JPG

Yes, I had to start building the cart assembling it board by board.

DSC00039.JPG

At some point the idea came to draw the family wife and two daughters of a man who was inspecting a horse.

Perhaps they were taking the children to a village school and as you know not every village has a school.

DSC00040.JPG

Next I started working on the textures and shading of the cart structures.

DSC00041.JPG

I don't know if I can design a cart in reality but something similar happened in this drawing.

DSC00042.JPG

And then I realized that the woman and children distract attention from the main idea of the picture turning the situation into a picnic on the side of the road rather than changing plans along the way.

Therefore trees began to appear behind the cart.

DSC00044.JPG

If there's one thing I don't like to draw it's definitely grass and there's a lot of grass here.

DSC00045.JPG

Sometimes it seems that my fantasies are pulling me into a trap where I have to do a lot of monotonous and monotonous work trying to depict the grass under my feet.

DSC00046.JPG

It's time to depict a small swamp or a small section of a large swamp on the edge of a forest road.

DSC00047.JPG

After working on the image of the water surface and reflections I moved on to working on the clouds and at some point I realized that it was time to stop, the work was done.

Hello friend Barski, I really appreciate your drawing, it turned out great and your reward is well deserved, keep making your art friend.

Successes and blessings.

Greetings! Thank you very much for your kind words about my work, for your support and for your excellent comment! :)

Very goog job! How do you before? Is it only imagination or you see a picture?

Thank you @enrisanti, during my entire stay in Steemit, I can only remember one time when I put in front of me a photograph that depicted a slug and drew what I saw in front of me, that was the condition of that competition, to draw a photograph. In other cases, I rely only on my imagination and what I remember. I like drawing better this way :)

Saludos amigo, quedó exelente tu dibujo, felicidades.

Thank you @aries197 for your kind words and wishes! Have a blessed weekend!
