The Shard is one of those buildings that I find it impossible to ignore. I have photographed it on numerous occasions but still can't resist just one or ten more, each time I see it.

This most recent shot was taken on my Samsung A5 on my way to a friend's 50th birthday party.
The building, designed by Renzo Piano, was opened in 2012. It contains, offices, restaurants, an hotel and the UK's highest viewing platform which is 240m above street level.
If you're ever in London make sure you go and visit. The views from the top are truly spectacular.
Insiders Tip: Time your visit to be there just before sun down and stay for a couple of hours, then you will see London, in all her glory, in daylight, sunset and at night!
