Yellowhammer. Which bird will be next?

Alas, I don’t know anything interesting about Yellowhammer. And the bird itself is associated with porridge (in Russian, a bird and porridge have the same base, from which a word is formed), which I do not like. Although I love oatmeal cookies)))

I use the watercolor "Nevskaya Palitra": titian, cadmium yellow medium, cadmium lemon, ultramarine, sepia, olive, white zinc. Black ink. Paper Palazzo 280g / m2, 70% cotton.

I begin to draw from the silhouette of a bird. I do not pay attention to any details of the construction, because in this case it does not matter. The bird sits with its back to us, its head turned to us sideways.

I take a watercolor and mix a yellow color from two colors. I add a lot of water. I fill the silhouette of the bird, and add a little ultramarine to the tail. On wet paper I add titian paint just above the tail, sepia on the back and head. I take the black ink and map out the wings and tail of the Yellowhammer. On wet paper I add fine salt and pick up a hairdryer.

After the picture has dried, I turn to the details. I put a little more yellow and orange on the head, I remove the excess of watercolor with a napkin. I clarify the bird's eye, add feathers on the wings and tail. I put a flare of white on the birds' eyes and add a picture on feathers. I sign the work and it’s ready! =)
