Kiss from Paris/Kuss von Paris

Besides the centuries old architecture in Paris, near the city center lays the Pompidou Center with the homonymous square in front. It is named after a French president who initiated the building of the center. You can find inside the biggest museum of modern art in Europe, besides the library and the Brâncuși galleries. It was a shock for Paris and a big contrast to what was Paris known in the world. It was the first building designed by foreigners in center of Paris.

I will show you some pictures from the Stravinsky Fountain and Pompidou square. The Pompidou Center and the Brâncuși galleries will be presented in other posts.

Neben den Jahrhunderten alter Architektur in Paris, in der Nähe des Stadtzentrums, liegt das Pompidou-Zentrum. Vor dem Pompidou-Zentrum liegt das gleichnamige Platz. Es ist nach einem französischen Präsidenten benannt worden, der den Bau des Zentrums initiierte. Im Inneren liegt das größte Museum für Moderne Kunst in Europa, neben der Bibliothek und den Brâncuşi Galerien. Es war ein Schock für Paris und ein großer Kontrast zu dem für was Paris in der Welt bekannt war. Es war das erste Gebäude, das von nicht Franzosen im Zentrum von Paris entworfen wurde.

In dem Post werde ein paar Bilder von den Strawinsky-Brunnen und dem Pompidou-Platz gezeigt. Das Pompidou-Zentrum und die Brâncuşi-Galerien werden in kommende Posts präsentiert.
