How Greed Almost Kill Me - *Learn from my fall
How Greed Almost Kill Me - Learn from my fall
Often time we fall on the journey of life. It is not always a palatable experience, but we learn and move on.
I fell, yes, I fell down flat in the forex market and it wasn't easy.
I'm new to the forex market and I've read a few materials that came my way. But, I felt I was smart and could get more from the system. I started with 50,000 Nigerian Naira (about 140 USD)and within a month, in my smartness (I supposed), I got above 400,000 (about 1,100 USD ). I continued that way aiming to get more but soon enough, the system caught up with me. I threw caution into the air. Last week, I entered multiple trades as usual. I expected the trades to go my direction from all calculations. But, it continued to go the opposite and soon, my capital was wiped away right before my eyes.
My heart was pounding I could hear it myself. My blood pressure must have reach the peak. My emotion was quite on the wrong side as I felt my world has just crumbled. My hope of meeting all financial obligations and debts seems gone and I felt like a failure. Thank God for my wife who encouraged me at that moment.
After all was done and I came to my senses, I tried to evaluate myself and I discovered I was truly greedy about it. I wanted much where I sow little. I wanted everything to myself. Slow and steady, they say, win the race.
Now that I've learnt my lesson, I will find a way to look for another capital and return to the market. This time, slowly and steadily I shall make profit there.
Learn from my fall and never be greedy in the market place of life.
I'm really impressed with your ability to reflect upon yourself this way. It is a rare quality. I wish you much (slow and steady) success in all areas of life dear @ajii :) Take care, and have a wonderful day/night where you are!
Oh thank you @lyndsaybowes. I'm encouraged.

No problem, I've only dabbled in forex trading.
Oh, man, ouch. I agree with @lyndsaybowes, though, it is wise of you to be able to evaluate your situation and self like that and learn from it. A lot of people would not! Good for you. I wish you luck.
You can make really good money in the Forex market.
The problem is you cannot predict which way it will go.
You can make really good money in the Forex market.
You need to know when to start trading and when to stop.
You can see I keep repeating myself cause I know it is tempting and you might think you can beat all odds but it is more easier to lose than winning.
$140 is not enough. You might have a good spread with the platform you are using.
You need more capital to lower your risk and like you said be calm and always ....
I should give you this advise... November and December are the worst month to be in Forex... Just be careful.
Keep on postin'
Humm. Thank you. You sound like an experience trader. I want to learn too and make things happen in the market.

Hello @ajii. I understand forex trading and understand it's pitfalls. I have dabled away at it, only for fun and understanding. Having worked for many years in the financial sector I learned very simply that if you can not afford to loose in the market you should not play in it. Always..people who play with fire get burned. Often excitement, greed, and a desire to make things happen fast and not rely on the slow way makes us do things we later regret. Pyramid schemes and multi level marketing are also another way many people loose. Debt makes us sad and anxious and we all want to get out of it quickly. Debt is insidious. Sadly you are not alone and I hope you are on your way to a prosperous future.
Wow. Thank you. Am happy to hear that am not alone in that. I just learnt my own lesson in hard way too
