Updates From The Watercolor Workshop 2.0
I just reached home after a fantastic dinner and completion of the workshop mentioned in my previous post. Today was a long one and I am exhausted as I write this but also pretty content!
We were a little late to start than we were supposed to but these guys joined us before the workshop for some meal. And it was fun to know them before sitting down to business :) The room was scattered in multiple workshops like quilling, mandala art and doodling. I decided to teach a skyline during sunset scene after laying down a few techniques and washes.
I actually spent the last two days planning a little different approach than my previous one and included more techniques and better references for clarity. Above are some of the test boxes and below are some of the color palette testings of a reference image. Unfortunately, I left behind 2 of my tests and forgot to click them but thought the pink and the oranges were giving some magical effect than the others.
It was another learning experience for me and I think we ended up enjoying the process over some chit chats too. Some of my friends kept coming around to see the progress and also distract me a little , I guess :P I was definitely better prepped and more confident than the previous time and hope to do something like this on bigger scales in the future because I reckon that it will be exponentially interesting and challenging for me!
