ADSactly Poetry - Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 5)
ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 5)
Hello Steemians! Today I'll be sharing another piece of work with @adsactly readers.
Many of the verses I've shared and continue to share were written in collaboration with a friend of mine. I find that collaboration brings many benefits most of which revolve around having someone to bounce ideas off of and sort of be challenged to pick up where the other has left off.
I've got something special for @adsactly readers today, a full fledged song I wrote for a solo project. I think its pretty special and has quite a bit of funk to it.
Enjoy!
A Jazz Hit
Chorus
Ya know it’s a jazz hit on a jazz tip.
Some of those old hits were the baddest.
They had sax the trombone and a bit of that magic.
An ya knew it when ya heard it just for what it was.
It was a jazz hit on a jazz tip.
Verse
Cause what we want in life can be made by design...
So read between the lines of this rhyme and you will find that anythings possible...
And in due time... What you want will be yours...
It was just a subtle change in perspective and attitude a change in course which positively...
Could put us on a new tangent...
Hurts too deep hence the hesitation and reluctance to try to comprehend
For far too long we have chosen to deny...
Are we livin a life? Or are we livin a lie?
In a persuit of paradise all we have are paradoxes...
Inspect the motives of why OJ Simpson got Johnny boy Cockrin to represent em...
All of us may be guilty or just refuse to believe it...
I’m so sorry your honor I just don’t agree with the verdict.
And it went down as the gavel hit and the consquences of our actions that laid beneath it...
They say we’re guilty til proven innocent and born in the land of the free or we’re too ignorant to see still choose to believe born a slave into something we never could see...
But would you ever be compelled to help someone else?
In their time of darkness and misery.
There may be hope for us yet with an idea like that!
And believe me its doing a world a good for a world that so desperately needs it...
In our time of need we’ll look around and see who stuck around there may be regrets that abound but maybe not guess it all depends on how it goes down...
Chorus
Ya know it’s a jazz hit on a jazz tip.
Some of those old hits were the baddest.
They had sax the trombone and a bit of that magic.
An ya knew it when ya heard it just for what it was.
It was a jazz hit on a jazz tip.
Final Thoughts on 'Jazz Hit'
I really enjoyed writing this song and feel like it stands the test of time and holds a lot of merit.
This part right here:
But would you ever be compelled to help someone else?
In their time of darkness and misery.
There may be hope for us yet with an idea like that!
I think its pretty powerful and sends a sort of subliminal message I feel proud to deliver. This song was written in a stream of consciousness so I apologize if it isn't 100pct coherent. Some verses stay razor sharp on point and others seem to go on tangents.
In regard to Jazz Hit, this was a short song I wrote and performed in a small solo project. I'd very much like to know your thoughts and feelings about this verse so if you liked it or didn't like it, I'd love to hear your opinion either way!

Wow that is a great way to express your feeling in the words of a poem
I also have one poem for my mother which I will like share with you all. only a few lines.
A mother is like a stepping stone to the stars,
She always help me to prevent from getting any scars,
Whenever I was in she took me in her lap,
Whenever I was tired she helped me to take a power nap.
I love this way to I cannot come to meet you,
this is because of the work I am doing for you
Though I and you cannot celebrate Christmas and new year together,
But You will always be in my heart for forever
I want to hear the song! I love jazz
I like the lyrics. leads us to an understanding of life. As in jazz there is always improvisation. In our lives it is also full of mysteries that we don't know. We only walk according to this line of life.
It will be more interesting if you also include this music video so that we can enjoy the song and feel its beauty.
Thank you @zentalk

for me music is part of art, sung with the mouth and felt with the heart, I am a lover of art and music, thank you for sharing, success is always for you ...
"A jazz hit"(but hit as blow or stroke) sounds like a very good title to me, @zentalk. The image is very suggestive, for jazz itself as music; but it could also lead us to Mallarmé's "coup de dés", because there is a lot of chance in the lyrics of your song, and also the blow of the judge's hammer, not to mention the "blows in life", as the poet César Vallejo said. I agree with other comments that it would be interesting to know the musical version. I am also a jazz lover. Thank you. Greetings.
I'm a jazz lover. Its musicality moves me to the bone. I think jazz is a form of expression, which talks about social things, but also about love. I find your piece interesting. Because not only does it have a certain cadence, a certain compass and swing, but the lyrics do not move away from the social, from the intimate of the human being. I also find the chorus sticky and rhythmic. Too bad you didn't present the complete piece, with music and everything. So it's very difficult to fully appreciate its quality. Thanks for sharing your art, @zentalk
