Fairy - Step by Step process (R52_2019_N4)

Hi everyone. Hope all of you be fine with excellent state of health and good mood.

It have been complicate post these days. We had almost 36 hours of backout of electricity service in my city. You know here in Venezuela the crisis is everywhere, but this post is not about apocalyptical situation in Venezuela, let try to talk best about creative things.

For this post I would like to share my last digital painting done step by step exploring new methodologies of work as an illustrator. For whose don’t know about me my name is Abrahma Tansini, a digital illustrator that wants to improve personal skills for digital drawings. I have tried to make a drawing from only some colors and spot. Generally I made first a sketch as a reference, but now I am trying a new creative process. This is an example of the way I generally start a painting:

Well, let start explain the steps how I made this artwork.

1-The start Is simple, background dark and in front bright color skin for the main character.

2- I started to add some colors, orange and brown for the shadows.

3- Here was necessary define some shapes of character's face, eyes, nose, etc-

4- I added hair and add more light on skin. So far It's look horrible, Don't you think? Jajajaja

5- Where started the complex and hardest process of this illustration, I mean blending the colors.

6- I I decided to add another color for the skin (violet color). This color are going to help me to make the tone transition of skin shadow to light. It looks horrible yet.

7- More blend color process

8- He she is looking better. The blend process is making a good result, but is necessary a lot of patience to reach at this point, but painting is not yet finished.

9- Here I redefine some shapes at eyes and also I added some light on skin.

10- I decided to show her hands to make interesting scene.

11- I blended the colors on hands and also changed the lips tone.

12- I added a special effects like a power or enchantment (she is a magical creature)

13- Finally the artwork is done. I decided to add a background of leaves, like a forest an generate a natural context for the character. Also I added some wings because she is a fairy. What kind of enchantment she is doing? Who knows… jejeje

Looking how was the final result of this art, I have not been so happy. The illustration looks cool but maybe is not my best one. I think I want to explore another style of drawing in my illustrations. But is just an experiment and its help me a lot as a practice and art study.
