I spent good STEEM on these troops too! About to get pummeled on @drugwars!
I'll add a more to this post when the battle is over. It's not really going to be a battle, more like an absolute pasting.
The countdown for the battle started at just over 16 minutes - quite a long time to wait for the inevitable!

The new interface looks a lot better.
Pissing in the wind a bit with who to attack though - 'enter a username'... where's the list of people, their defenses, and resources?

I should be shielded for 12 hours or so anyway, and my resources are less than the amount 'saved' from battles too.
After suffering a defeat, a 12 hours shield will be automatically activated, but it will disappeared once you attack another player within the 12 hours. src
Got to agree with this guy. I can't see people wanting to buy troops at present = less STEEM into the pool.
I also attacked you with one knifer but it's not going through.

Well, I've already found a way to win every battle, heist, carnage or whatevah in the game without risk a damn nor invest a single cent.
But yeah, prolly my infallible strategy won't work for everyone & is not for those who are not as zen as me. };)

The blockchain resides in each synapse along every junction that your dendrites will make within your own head. };)
And yeah, there is no hurry with this. You can take all the time you want to take a look. After all, what it is all about here, is just to try win all the battles and save yourself a good amount of virtual money in the process.
Uff... you really got stomped. I wonder if it's even worth to spend resources for units if they'll just get raided by big players. Although I thought there was a limit of 200 units for the aggressor.
Yeah it doesn't seem worth it at present.
I think the 200 unit limit is coming later, that's what I read in the discord anyway.
To be honest, I'm just starting to mess around with the new update, but I don't like it. I think they really worsened the appearance of the game. Before it had a style, now it's just gray....
However, I know this is the early rollout of the update, so I assume they will work on stuff like that son. I want to cut it a little slack, but I really think the old interface was a lot better.
Fair enough, I thought it looked a little slicker.
Would like to see more details on other players - it seems you cant see the resources of who you will attack and just have a text box.
It should all be blind so then there is more chance for psychological intimidation and bluffing as a defense.
It's all there somewhere, just not immediately obvious on the interface.
Next few days they'll bots checking who's got what, where troops are heading etc, and picking the right troop selection to send.
I think it depends on whether your taste is more "glitz and glam" or "gritty". To be fair, both fit a mafia game.
I have 0 troops... come at me bro! You probably won't get any resources though xD I'm probably going to get trampled hard and will soon get sick of the game because of that and stop playing, just saying... the fact that the game is too much pay2win is going to be is down fall...

Yeah I don't see much point in having any at present, unless you have the biggest army :)
I'm pumping the heist with drugs to get back all my STEEM and once I'm done with it, I'll think what to do after... now that the hype is finally over and no one else is buying, the game will probably fade away...
I've been mostly doing the same, and have written off gaining my original 'investment' back. If it does become more of a game then that would soften the blow a little.
I'm loving the new website design. :)
Unfortunately, I don't really like the new battle page. It feels more "personal" actually typing in someone's username to attack them, rather than just scrolling through a list of potential people to raid. On the leaderboard I can only see the top 100 people, so I don't even know who else is playing the game, at my rank level, to attack!
(Unless there is a page I'm completely missing where we can scroll down and select a target)

So it started? I have trained a couple of bad guys, but since most of the game is still a big mystery to me, I doubt they will be of any use, lol
Yep it started 2 hours ago. A couple of bad guys is unlikely to get you far, I have a spare turtle shell if you want? :)
Once again, I can't even log in at this point, so my imperium-to-be will probably be destroyed before I can get to it :0(
