Hong Kong Snapshot (53) HK footbridges are beautiful – the Jimmy Bridge 香港隨拍 (53) 香港的天橋那麼美 – 志明橋

There are many world-famous tourist spots in Hong Kong: the star ferry, the tram, the night view, the local small streets etc. But most of we ignore a very special and beautiful kind of structures in HK – the footbridges.

香港有很多引人入勝的景點，如天星小輪、電車、夜景、橫街小巷等，不過，大家忽略了香港一個很多特色的建築 – 行人天橋。

According to the report of the Hong Kong Highways Department, in 2016, there are total 755 footbridges in Hong Kong. It makes the city one of the cities have most number of footbridges in the world. Numerous footbridges of Hong Kong have different interesting features. For example, the Tsuen Wan Town Footbridge Network, footbridges with total length 1400 meters crossing through 20 shopping malls of Tsuen Wan town. People in HK even call Tsuen Wan as the “Sky City” because people can just pass through even corner of Tsuen Wan through the footbridges. I will introduce the Tsuen Wan Town Footbridge Network later and today, I introduce to you the “Jimmy Bridge”.

根據香港路政署的報告，在2016年，香港一共有755條行人天橋，數量之多位於世界的前列，而香港的天橋更各有特色，例如香港荃灣的行人天橋系統，足有1400米長，貫通20個商場，更被人稱呼荃灣為「天空之城」，因為行人根本不用走到地面就能走遍荃灣，我在未來亦會介紹這個地方。而今天，我介紹的是「志明橋」。

“Jimmy Bridge” is at Kwun Tong of Kowloon. The number of the footbridge in Highways Department is KF38. So why KF38 is so famous and have the name of Jimmy Bridge? It’s because HK famous movie “Love in A Puff” took place at the bridge and KF38 becomes Jimmy Bridge. (Jimmy is the main character of the moive)

「志明橋」位於香港的觀塘一帶，路政署編號是KF38。為何這條叫KF38的天橋會變得出名，更有「志明橋」的稱號，因為它是香港著名電影《志明與春嬌》的拍攝地點，自此KF38就變成「志明橋」。

Initially the Highways Department didn’t plan to have any special design on the footbridge. But this unintended design brings the footbridge a kind of beauty. The color tone of pale pink and blue makes the bridge a fresh feeling, especially attracting girls!

本來志明橋的設計沒有什麼特別，主要是以實用為主，但各種設計上的無心之作讓它成為了美麗的存在。志明橋以粉色為主調，淺藍及淺粉兩種顏色，為志明橋帶來清新的感覺，觸動不少少女心。

And the regular rectangular windows bring a geometric beauty. When there is sun, we can see the shadows of the windows, a strong visual effect.

而其規則的長方型風口，帶來幾何的美感，在有陽光的時候，更展示出一個個長方格子的影子，造成強列的視覺效果。

Besides, the turns and corners make the bridge a style of Z shape design. It’s a good theme of a photo.

另外，長長的志明橋有很多轉角位，造成了Z形的風格，在橋外看向橋，那視覺的衝擊也是志明橋的一大特色。

Due to the special features of the Jimmy Bridge, many HK films take place at the bridge. The most famous one should be the “Love in A Puff”. Because of the film, the Jimmy Bridge is famous for young people and photographers. Many people like to sit on the window of the bridge to take photos. According to the report of the Fire Services Department, in 2017, there are 31 cases of report people attempting to jump off the footbridge XD.

由於志明橋的特別，香港已有很多影視作品在志明橋拍攝，而其中最著名的，就是《志明與春嬌》系列，亦因為這部電影，讓志明橋成為了香港的著名拍攝之地，很多人更坐在天橋的風口位拍攝，讓人誤以為他們企圖跳橋，單單在2017年，香港消防處就收到31宗關於這條天橋的企跳善意虛報。

Beautiful view doesn’t need to be built. We don’t need to spend a lot of money to build a “beautiful spot”. Just looking around, there are many beautiful views around us.

其實，美景不必刻意打造，我們不用特意去建一個美麗景點，只要細心留意，我們身邊其實很多美景。
