OhLife#6 - Gratitude: Round 2, Day 4/7
There are just soooo many things I learn about comics. Oh, about making comics. ONLY when I started making them myself!! They look so simple. They are! Simple to read. Not simple to make.
Oh, and since this is round 2 of my #7daypositivity challenge, I'm gonna nominate my new 3 strangers! :- @proteus-h, @h-unit, @h-information (why are the randomly picked names all sooo unique!? :P) As usual, my new acquaintances, the rules for the challenge are at the bottom of the post -- ignore it as you please! :P
Hope you enjoy my comic!
Now here's my post:

I didn't pace my comic out well! ":D
I website I was looking at was this! (http://www.well-storied.com/blog/how-to-create-strong-pacing-for-your-story) This was exactly one thing I was looking for to pace a long-form type of comic (such as my own, for Comic Baldy).
I knew the stories that I wanted to give Baldy, but I didn't know how to make them into story arcs! I read this link, and I became quite clear!
Each conflict, each problem deserves its own space, and they all need to be introduced one by one! I had some sense of that in my comic, but it was falling apart!
Really glad to have read this article!
And I think I'm going to go for a simpler comic gratitude post next time round! xD
See ya next time!

Challenge Comments!
The rules:
- Write a post about something you have to be postive about today - this could be anything from being thankful for your current situation, someone being nice to you, being thankful for your friends and family, or even being thankful for the oppurtunity you have been given here on Steemit - just keep it positive :)
(note from @reconstitution: I'm doing this one day offset [late]) - Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated
- Mention three people who should do this on each day.
- Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post. (Tip: You need to put the # in front of 7daypositivitychallenge or it will not let you use the tag.) (@reconstitution note: doesn't apply to Busy.org)
- Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible)

Wow, Im really imoressed with how much thought You've put into story arcs for your comics. Perhaps it would be great for a longer comic book version?
For the comic strip version with a punchline coming through within the 3rd frame perhaps a three frame still?
Just a thought. We can take this chat onto discord if you'd like. ;)
Looking forward to your next post.
Haha, thanks! :)
Yeah, I'm studying these to start working on making my comic "Baldy" more engaging. Since it's a longer comic book version.
Yeah, (if I understand correctly ":D) I would agree that the short comic strips wouldn't need that much thought to story arcs :P
You're very diligent, and that's a wonderful trait to have! I'm sure you'll figure something out.
It might help to do a character backstory for baldy, and how he sees the world. Like Calvin n Hobbes or that bear and piglet,....or Garfield , or Lat.....there is a central theme around the characters personality. Of course in lat it was based on cultural or social / political climate .... So the character was the cartoonist and his way of looking at the world.
So we're the rest, it somehow tied around the creator and his stories to tell through his lens.
;)

It looks like you're doing 4-panel gag comic strips. May I suggest this video from the Strip Panel Naked YouTube channel? You might find it helpful.
Yes, my OhLife series is supposed to be the 4-panel type you mentioned!
Thanks, that was helpful! Yeah, I took this 4-panel thingy exactly from these comic structures... but just kinda forgot the info about those structures (a bit too important to forget ":D)!
For now, I think I'll play with having a different number of panels to play with my writing style. Kinda discovering the easiest way to express myself so I can do a Steemit post everyday, while learning to hone the craft of comic making :P
Thanks for the very great reminder! I'll definitely bear this in mind more especially for the 4-panel format since they're so succinct :)
