Indeed an interesting topic to talk about Do you believe history repeats itself? I'm glad to be part of those participating in this week's contest which is the last for this season. The community has decided to share with us a very interesting one and I want to share my view.
Always in topics like this, different people have their thoughts and my case is not different. I will be sharing my thoughts on this topic based on my little understanding. Without further ado likes go straight into the topic of discussion.

Yes I believe that history repeats itself through genes. Genes means the inheritance a child inherits from his mother or his father. So genes carry along some traits which can be shared with the children. Since genes are characters or traits that are passed from a mother to a child or from a father to a child then it means history can repeat its self via that process.
A very good example is if the man has some certain characteristics or a particular birth mark on his or her body then through gene the child also can have same birth mark. This shows that that child has the genes of the man.
Another thing is that the child as he grows may start behaving like the father or the mother and this is as a result of the genes the child has inherited from his or her parents.
I have seen a case where a popular actor who entertain us in the Nigerian movie industry for a while then stopped acting and after a while we saw someone that acts and speak exactly like him and when we inquired we heard it was his son. This means that the genes was completely transferred from the father to the son.

As a child I have inherited some habits from both parents i.e my mother and my father. First I have a birth mark at my right shoulder and this is thesame like that of my father. Also, my father is a very silent person and I also inherited that from him as well.
Also, in the case of my mother, she stammers so I also stammer and that is what I also inherited from her. So as you can see from my both parents I was able to pick something from them and just by seeing me i.e my physical look you will know that I came from my family.
In summary, I was able to gain the habits of silence from my father, I was able to get the habit of stammera from my mother and I also had a birth mark from my father as well. The physical looks also shows that I'm from that very family because I look very much like my father and mother.

One of the habits that make me smile and proud is the habit of silence. I'm a person that listens more and talk less. This has made me to grow more in this life because I don't hurry to say anything at all. Everytime I find myself in any situation I always pay attention to listen and understand before speaking.
So this habit of mine is the habit I got from my father because he is a very quiet person and he is always a good listener which is the main reason why he hardly makes a mistake in anything he does especially when it comes to speaking.
So this habit of mine is one which I'm so proud of because it has helped me so much and also it has kept me out of troubles in many cases.

I guess at some point history may carry the legacy of your previous generation and that is why sometimes when a child is growing the will say he behaves just like his grandfather. This means that he has some behaviour that was once seen in his grandfather which they believe it is the grandfather that has comr back in a different format.
So when we see such we will know that the genes of the person the child took is a very strong genes because it has survive the linage and still exist and that is why you are having such. So yes history carries the legacy of our previous generation.
All we need to do is to be observant enough we will always see the habits of someone who has existed before again and that shows how the legacy remain.
