Traveling the World #145 - Chapel of Bojnice Castle @ Slovakia
Hi Everyone,
One of the highlight in this tour was able to see the chapel inside the castle. We can only look at the chapel from afar from the top of a balcony. The chapel are currently used for weddings or other ceremonies which needs to be pre-organised.
The ceiling of the chapel has many interesting paintings. It reminds us of the many Italian paintings we have seen previously and the design was very stylish. The chapel is a white base colour which I can imagine it will be pretty popular for weddings.
If you notice the photo, there are many numbers on the walls which was used for study purposes they advised. Not really sure what it means but I believe each number represent a reference point. The pillars were also carefully designed to match the ceiling and the design of the chapel. As you can imagine, the castle has lots to see hence why the tour was supposed to be 1 hour long but it ended up finishing just under 2 hours. In my next blog, I will show you more interesting areas of the castle which includes more valuable items and interesting architecture within the castle.
