상상하던 미래
한국영화 '써니'에는 이런 장면이 나옵니다.
때는 1986년. 두 여고생이 라디오 방송을 들으며
대화를 나눕니다.
"미래에는 전화를 가지고 다니며 서로
얼굴을 보면서 통화를 할 수 있대."
"웃긴다. 그럼 물도 사 먹는 시대가 오겠다."
그렇게 소녀들은 웃음을 터뜨립니다.
자신들의 상상이 허황되다고 여겼기 때문입니다.
하지만 지금 우리는 생수를 사 먹고
세계 어디서든 영상통화를 합니다.
과거의 어떤 상상이 현실이 되고 있습니다.
그런데 어떤 상상은 아직도 상상 속에서나 이루어지는
비현실적인 이야기입니다.
이처럼 우리는 '미래'를 예측하기 어렵습니다.
살면서 꿈꾸는 수많은 상상은 불확실성을
동반하기도 합니다.
그렇기 때문에 현재를 살면서 희망을 만들어가고
오늘을 살면서 내일이라는 미래를 상상하며
준비해야 합니다.
