Malikussaleh University distributed 12 sacrificial cows to six campus circumference villages in Lhokseumawe City and Aceh Utara District, Thursday July 30, 2020. In addition to the campus gampong (village), the ox will also be slaughtered on the Bukit Indah campus to be distributed to a number of honorary employees, students, and other disadvantaged communities.

The handing over of the bulls was centered at three points, namely the main campus of Reuleut, Aceh Utara; the Bukit Indah campus; and ACC Uteungkot Multipurpose Building, Cunda, Lhokseumawe.

The handing over of sacrificial cows centered on the Reuleut Campus were distributed to the Gampong Reuleut Barat, Reuleut Timu, Cot Keumuneng, and Paya Gaboh. The handover ceremony was also attended by the Unimal Rector, Dr. Herman Fithra ASEAN Eng, Head of the Public Relations and External Relations Unit, Teuku Kemal Fasya, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Jamaluddin, and Hospital Director Dr. Fauziah Bireuen, Dr. Amir Addani M Kes, as the participating party donated, as well as all village devices which received the sacrificial bull.

Unimal Chancellor Dr. Herman Fithra ASEAN Eng hopes that all villages that receive the help of this ox can be prioritized for the underprivileged. The bull is a social gathering from lecturers, students and honorary from Unimal, and assistance from entrepreneurs in Aceh.

"We hope that with the help of this sacrificial bull, it can help the community around the Unimal campus, so that they can be happy in the midst of economic difficulties in the Covid-19 era," said Rector Herman.

According to him, the surrender of the qurban bull is an annual activity of Unimal to the gampong that is around the campus on Eid al-Adha. This is the second year Unimal distributes sacrificial bulls for the campus circumference village, after previously, last year it was also held. This activity is also a commitment to the target village and build a sense of belonging to the campus.

"There are 12 cows distributed by Unimal. Some are handed over to the campus gampong, and also distributed to honorary employees and underprivileged students in the form of meat packages," said Unimal Rector.

Other campus complexes where bulls are delivered are at the Bukit Indah campus and the Uteungkot campus. Sacrificial animals at Bukit Indah are specifically for hononers, students, and underprivileged people.[]

12 Ekor Sapi untuk Warga Lingkar Kampus: Idul Adha 1441 H

Universitas Malikussaleh membagikan 12 ekor lembu kurban kepada enam gampong lingkar kampus yang ada di Kota Lhokseumawe dan Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Kamis (30/7/2020). Selain Gampong lingkar kampus, lembu itu juga akan disembelih di kampus Bukit Indah untuk dibagikan kepada sejumlah pegawai honorer, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat lainnya yang kurang mampu.

Penyerahan lembu tersebut dipusatkan di tiga titik, yaitu kampus induk Reuleut, Aceh Utara; kampus Bukit Indah; dan Gedung Serba Guna ACC Uteungkot, Cunda, Lhokseumawe.

Penyerahan lembu kurban yang dipusatkan di Kampus Reuleut dibagikan kepada Gampong Reuleut Barat, Reuleut Timur, Cot Keumuneng, dan Paya Gaboh. acara penyerahan itu turut dihadiri oleh Rektor Universitas Malikussaleh, Dr Herman Fithra ASEAN Eng, Kepala UPT Kehumasan dan Hubungan Ekternal, Teuku Kemal Fasya, Dekan Fakultas Hukum, Prof Jamaluddin, dan Direktur RSUD dr Fauziah Bireuen, dr Amir Addani M Kes, selaku pihak yang ikut menyumbang, serta seluruh perangkat gampong yang mendapatkan lembu kurban tersebut.

Rektor Unimal Dr Herman Fithra ASEAN Eng berharap kepada semua gampong yang menerima bantuan lembu ini untuk bisa diprioritaskan kepada masyarakat yang kurang mampu. Lembu tersebut merupakan arisan dari dosen, tendik dan honorer dari Unimal, serta bantuan dari pengusaha yang ada di Aceh.

"Kami harapkan dengan adanya bantuan lembu kurban ini bisa membantu masyarakat di lingkar kampus Unimal, sehingga bisa ikut gembira di tengah kesulitan ekonomi di era Covid-19 ini," kata Rektor Herman.

Menurutnya, penyerahan lembu qurban tersebut merupakan kegiatan tahunan Unimal kepada gampong yang ada di lingkar kampus pada hari raya Idul Adha. ini adalah tahun kedua Unimal membagikan lembu kurban untuk gampong lingkar kampus, setelah sebelumnya, pada tahun lalu juga dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini juga komitmen terhadap gampong binaan dan membangun rasa memiliki kampus.

"Ada 12 lembu yang dibagikan oleh Unimal. Ada yang diserahkan ke Gampong lingkar kampus, dan juga dibagikan kepada pegawai honorer dan mahasiswa kurang mampu dalam bentuk paket daging," tutur Rektor Unimal.

Komplek kampus lain yang menjadi tempat penyerahan lembu adalah di kampus Bukit Indah dan kampus Uteungkot. Hewan kurban di Bukit Indah dikhusus untuk para hononer, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat kurang mampu.[]
