My Entry To Zen Colouring Contest 46 Tessellated Timeworn Token
The Great Citadel
Hi my Steemit friends,
This round of the zencolouringcontest has another interesting stencil. It may not be as lovely as the Calavera from round 45 but is definitely versatile to turn into anything you could imagine.
I made the stencil into a map of a great city I call Citadel. The symmetry of the stencil and its details are perfect for my vision. To me it looks like a ziggurat or a pyramid viewed from the top. I made a map complete with bushes, trees and paths that lead to the great structure. I am aiming to create that old world feel of ancient manuscripts. This stencil looks so strong and powerful and I think it deserves to be transformed into a city capital or The Citadel.
My suggestion for next week featured color is gray. Thanks for dropping by

I love that you made the stencil into a map of an ancient ziggurat and city and named it Citadel. The colours a textures used to fill the design definitely gives it a old manuscript effect, almost as if it was painted with water colours are a thin ink. I love the colour combination and shading, it creates a nice pattern and gives depth to the shapes. I like the addition of bushes, trees and paths to add to that map look and i like the textures used in them as well as the texture of the paper its drawn on!
