RE: A Critical Review of Zappl

New apps could go the route of Mangosteem (@mynameisbryan where are you man?) and avoid clogging up the steemit feed.

@teamsteem you like mangoes right? Care to up vote my comment at 100%? 😃

P.S. Don't forget @ats-david's comment too!

Yeah! That's exactly what I was thinking about, but I couldn't remember the name of the app. That would be decent solution to the feed spam problem.

I think Zappl probably chose to use top level posts so that the steem api could be used to search by trending, hot, new, etc. Had they 'hidden' zappl content as comments they would have had to roll their own algorithms, which they should have done in my opinion.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about steem app design so that I can continue with Mangosteem development and I believe that I have a model that could be applied to most apps not following the standard blog format. Maybe I should make a post about it?

That would make sense. And yes, I'd love to read that hypothetical post of yours!

roll their own algorithms, which they should have done in my opinion.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "uncreative."

Of course you should post about it! Even if you have nothing close to a functional product/service!

Do it. I dare you!

I'm still here.
