Adolf Hitler: Brought you by Democracy

in #zappl6 years ago

When you hear Democracy, Think Hitler.Think Hugo Chávez.Kim Jong-un was also "Elected". Genocidal Robert Mugabe who ran Rhodesia(Zimbabwe) to ground and Charles G.Taylor of Liberia(Lol) were all elected by voters. Democracies devour Rights.

Sort:

Democracy is simply the dictatorship of the majorities, where rights depend more on the thinking of a bunch of people than on what is morally right.

You might as well rule based on a coin flip. I've heard that a monkey has proven to have better than the average hedge fund manager. So I won't be surprised if coin could replace polls.

Very good points and very good analysis. Sad to see this get flagged. Maybe somebody doesn't like the fact that Hitler was a democratically elected leader or that Sweden, Modern Germany, EU and even USSA is facing many problems because they are democracies. In developing countries, governments are not trusted and people don't have a high opinion of politicians.

In USSA Trump had to become an outrageous clown to win and Ron Paul with points like this had no chance.

Steemit is a platform for intelligent discussion and the video clip had some very good points including the fact that USSA was never meant to be a democracy.

How many men? is a thought experiment used to demonstrate the concept of taxation as theft. The experiment uses a series of questions to posit a difference between criminal acts and majority rule. For example, one version asks, "Is it theft if one man steals a car?" "What if a gang of five men steal the car?" "What if a gang of ten men take a vote (allowing the victim to vote as well) on whether to steal the car before stealing it?" "What if one hundred men take the car and give the victim back a bicycle?" or "What if two hundred men not only give the victim back a bicycle but buy a poor person a bicycle, as well?" The experiment challenges an individual to determine how large a group is required before the taking of an individual's property becomes the "democratic right" of the majority.

Might doesn't make anything right and the same goes for numbers. We should never shy away from these facts and your posts should not be made invisible

Saw you posting some AMVs. That's nice to see and GitS is one of my favorite anime franchises ever and one of the first I fell in love with. Keep up the good work. There are few upvotes coming your way.

Holy heavens! This is the nicest and the best thing anybody has done to me or that I've come across on steemit. You are a hero. I missed getting flagged to oblivion part. Thanks for the save. But I have some SBD reserves. So I'm fine. Allow me to send you something in return :)

Seriously man. You are Awesome!

No need bother. Keep posting good stuff.
Thanks for the compliments.

In his defence, democracy does allow complete dumb fucks to vote. That doesn't end well in any universe.

Yep, that's true.
Anyway, what happened to your reputation? You seem like an intelligent person.

In all honesty, I'm just a very unhappy person.

Venting on the internet makes me feel better for about 30 seconds. It's not a great solution, but it's all I have.

You just planted 2.81 tree(s)!
