Cookery vs life: the comparison here is not accidental, but inevitable! Both fields have this aphorism valid: we eat to live, but we do not live for eating. What we live for, is -- to eat deliciously!

The prompt was: Food.

Probably its my 1st attempt to enter any 'writing' contest... well, maybe second, counting the 'Every image has its haiku' wonderful contest.

The 'Food' theme nicely coincided with the book I am reading this week: 'Russian Cuisine in Exile' by Pyotr Vail and Al.Genis. (God knows I love such coincidences!!). Reading this essay, I am highly fuelled and over-filled with cuisine thoughts, so the main idea naturally matured into this short text. The book is great, it is Not a mix of receipts... it is an essay on the culture, ~~infected~~ driven with a ~~deadly~~ solid doze of humour. Highly recommended!

эээ, Похлёбкин гений! последнее что у него читал -- про гречку, до сих пор помню! но мой пост не про это, я же тут не рекомендованный список литературы вывесил :)

Увидев колажж не удержался чтобы не вспомнить Похлебкина :-)
К сожалению так и не дочитал Кухню. Может позднее вернусь к ней.
