The moral argument was not a concern for me. You are providing an outlet. The story should have a wider audience. You are not the censor of the world. The story would get out with or without you, if he was willing to tell it. And if people buy the sympathy ploy after hearing the stories, well that is on them.
That's a well thought out argument. And yeah, he is eager to tell it, which I guess is a part of the problem. If anything, he is filled with pride, not shame.
