BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF AT TIMES

It seems the world has gone crazy as there are almost no nice guys in it anymore and even the few nice ones get unfair treatment from people especially from the place of work where colleagues or coworkers looks for the slightest opportunity to criticize you for your actions and inaction. Be nice is a good thing but when you just too nice to others, people tends to misquote your behavior as a suspicious one. Let me give you an instance, you might a girl you like as a guy. You had no intention of asking her out or dating her but you just liked her, you tend to be there for her when she least expect it and you always make her life and workload easy because you truly care about her. Here is the sad part, this your kind act can easily be misquoted as a guy who is taking every opportunity to get in and the little chance he gets, he will strike.

I have once found myself in this position where I had to make a choice either to stay and continue the friendship or leave,I was confronted by the friend whom I saw like a sister about having feelings for her but when I told her, she was wrong. She stopped talking to me thinking I was just too shy to express myself.

Most people fail to always put themselves first even at their workplace and relationship, its important to consider others also but when its at the detriment of your own happiness, its becomes an issue that should be treated with caution. When you find yourself in such situation be ready to spill the milk and burst it wide open,tell them the truth even though it will hurt them and never relent from making yourself happy because when you put other people feelings before yours, you don't get awarded with it rather you gossiped about that you are just a pretender and always defend yourself whenever its needs be and not out of the fear of conflict it might bring make you runaway from it.

Even though people may not like you for something, your total honesty will always get you to high places.
