A Dream Sequence (part 3)
The entire landscape inhaled and exhaled in perfect synchronization with her own breathe. She felt an uneasiness at being in a place which she could hardly understand but as she explored the parameters which governed this place, she had to fight back the sense of elation. She was eager to explore, but if the plane of being which contained that which she could suddenly perceive was anything like the lucid dreams she had experienced before, she had to keep her cool in order to avoid snapping back into the realm of her daily existence.
Stay calm
She took soft steps towards an intersection. It was the intersection she passed every day, a landmark with which she could reorient herself. When she arrived she studied the details of the buildings on its corners. At first they were featureless but as her attention came back to her breath and the hum in the background, she realized the shops she knew were still there, all their features intact, but fluid and shifting in and out of her perception. At first their features were hard to decipher, ethereal and fluid, changing constantly.
The convenience store she knew was just as she recognized it one second. Then the next second, it casually became a hair salon. All potential incarnations were at once readily available, and they were all within reach.
