How To Write SEO Titles Like A Champ - Tip 1 - Think Like The Person Searching
SEO is your friend. For any one who is unfamiliar with the letters it stands for Search Engine Optimization. If used properly it can help you get your page higher on search engine results. Which includes sites like Google, which pretty much everyone uses. And that is kinda of a big audience. This matters for your blog, if It is on steemit or another site. So how do you help get your write your post to be SEO friendly.
Think Like The Person Searching When You Write Your Title
When your title matches what people are searching it has a higher chance of showing up. You want to test it, type in the title of this blog in Google. Go ahead, I can wait. You will have to type the whole thing as SEO is a pretty popular topic with a lot of competition. What did you find? Hopefully you found this blog on the first page, or I will have to rewrite this advice :p. I will search it myself after I post this. Now no one is looking up this exact title and like I said, SEO is a popular topic so just adding SEO to your title will probably not be enough. But this will put it ahead of other posts about SEO that don't have it in their title. And it will give you an edge if any one types "how to write seo". Now if you do this for more niche topics, where competition is less, you might even make it to the first page.
So what should your title say? The key is to think like the person who is searching for something. When you search for something, what words do you use? If you are looking for advice on SEO, what do you type? Is it how to use SEO? SEO tips? SEO tricks? What is SEO? The wording matters. If you write your title to include the wording that the person searches, you give yourself an edge. Look at this title. I use 'how to'. Now don't be dishonest and throw words in just to get searches. You don't want to mislead people. But you can write a title that tells people what your post is about and help it to make it up the search engine pages.

Great advice. Too many people miss out on this simple tip because they try to write catchy, or clickbait, titles to bring in clicks.
The two sites I run see 75 to 90 percent of their traffic per day come from search engines. It is not by accident either. Considering I run AdSense on one of those sites, it helps to rank really well with Google to improve the ad rates.
SEO certainly can bring in massive amounts of traffic if the topic is popular.
Clickbait is another topic :p You should share your tips in a post if you are looking for a topic to post about, people writing SEO-rich posts will help get people to steemit.

Didn't see it on the first page..
It's on the second, I just looked. You need to copy and paste the whole title. Like I said SEO is competitive.
If you don't land in the first 3 results you failed it, admit defeat now! :D
If I could get on the first 3 results of SEO I would not need the steem payouts :P. If I remember from my adsense time, the people at the top pay for it, per click, it can be expensive for popular topics.
Even "unpopular" topics like Bitcoin can be 1€+ per click.
That's crazy, imagine what some of these companies are paying...
