VEGAN Vs Meat eater
One of the best things could happen in life is talk with a good friend with who you haven't spoken since months. Well yesterday I have had this pleasure of receiving a call from a friend of mine that was in Vietnam for a couple of years but because the different of timing and life.... well we didn't speak so much.
When I saw her number (that actually was a new number but on whatsapp there was her pic) I was so pleased to answer and to have a chat with her. So many things to ask and to tell... I was literally emotional till that moment... she asked me about my job knowing that actually I am a Vet so the conversation started in this way:
If I am not wrong you are a Vet isn't it? Yes I am why?
Do you care about animals isn't it? Yes I do care about them clearly. Why?
But... do you eat them? .... in my mind I understood... oh f**k she will start saying she is vegan and will start this conversation so I did ask.... are you vegan isn't it?
Yes I am vegan since almost I was born My answer was... cmon if 2 years ago we saw each other and we went to eat chickens at Nando's ...
OH well... that was another time... now I am feeling re-born... much more energy without having animals suffering!! So why do you eat meat and you are vet? You should protect animals not killing them! I eat meat because I like it, because it is in my tradition since I was born and because I do like the taste. I am vet because I take care about the animals ensuring that their life for how short could be, must be a good life, diseases free and without any welfare breaches.
So the traditions are important.... who said that the traditions are a good thing? For instance in the past in America Black people were not considered at the same level of White people... that was the slavery tradition... do you like it? Do you agree with it? My answer No I don't like it and if I see any racist comment or act I will defend the person offended but we are not talking about racism or anything like that... we are talking about animals and dairy products.
Oh right Dairy product... so for you it is natural that cows produce milk? Well yes because cows are born to produce milk... they normally have a pregnancy and during this time they produce milk... you know it is in the nature life. Why I feel this conversation will never end? and Why I feel you have had this conversation with all your friends? Are they still talking to you after that? I feel like when you open the door and someone is starting asking you " HI DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD?" if you say no they will start talking about how important is believing in HIM; if you say yes I do believe in God, they will carry on talking about how important is in our life and in both way you will never end the conversation.
**ahahah yes I understand but do you think it is fair having animals pregnant every year and producing milk that will be removed from the calf just born to feed us for all those dairy cheeses etc?
Well the conversation was like this for 1 hour and guys trust me it wasn't finishing ... so I said... My dear I love you and I very like talk to you... I haven't spoken with you for months and I don't want waste our time talking about those things. We have discussed about White and Black people and they fight for the freedom and for the respect. I love you and I respect your decision of being Vegan, so why you that talk about right and wrong don't respect my decision of being traditionalist and carry on eating what I like? Moreover if as you said it is wrong having all those animals in life, what shall we do with all those animals? If there will be no animals I will not have anymore my job.
The conversation wasn't finishing there as then she said well all those animals can live their life in a wild way till they will naturally die. Then I said ok what we will do with all those carcasses... then we will have a lot disease that could kill a lot of people. Would you like that? Then she said ok then kill all of them now and we will be better... we don't need them.
So do you prefer a genocide of animals that is wrong kill for meat but is right for the fact that actually we don't need them? How fear is that? How nice can be that?
So tell me... if we are all created by God, why God then created cows if they are not important for our life?
I could carry on talking and talking but literally I was tired as was almost midnight and the conversation was getting no where.
Respect the others if you want respect!

Maybe if I were you I would say that "May I am a meat eater but I will greatly accept the idea of drowning in the deep sea of eye, just to reborn again with a changed self me". Maybe a good idea or a terrible idea hehehe

Yes, what's right before may not be right now but I don't see the need to spend lots of time arguing about it now.
I know someone who watch a documentary showing animals slaughtered in a slaughter house and stopped eating all meat the next day.
I have been eating less meat over the years and someday, I'll just eat vegetarian but I do believe if I watch the same documentary, I'll still not stop eating meat. I can got to a vegetarian restaurant anytime but I don't think there is any push for me to stop eating meat totally.
correct my dear friend. The point is that people should accept the decision that others have instead of attack them and trying to force their decisions. This phrase is generic and applicable to several topics.
I did work in a slaughterhouse as vet and I didn't stop eating meat after.. don't know mate I believe this is our nature.
