Hello Family :)

Here i am again with another A PICTURE CAN TELL A THOUSAND WORDS Post.
If your unfamiliar with this series, basically i choose a random picture that speaks to me and i write a short story to accompany what i see.

A double standard

At a glance, one could would stare at the hydro pods and question the morality of the business. Night goers from all leagues of the system would come to the Sparrow night club and have a few drinks. Many paid no mind to the pod's others marveled at the slaves and would stalk them from a far, following every fluid movement.

Each dance creating more lust in a place full of shady characters.

Inside pod 324h Aleca Moor had been dancing for more then four hours straight.
She was a slave and had no rights in a world where many would have never guessed of her existence.

Slavery had been outlawed years and years before but Marco Sign, an owner of the Sparrow, was a very important man. His connections allowed him to escape the hand of the law of the greater systems many times.
Aleca herself had seen him kill a man one night over a couple thousand ruun.s. To many of the club goers, she was probably paid very handsomely for her hours of work.

No one would have guessed this poor woman and the countless others like her were being held well against their will...

The night for Aleca had been more of the same, for two years now she dances for Marco and the club. Stolen from her homeland of DIANGO she had been implanted with a cerebral chip and was trained to say all the right things when asked about her profession.

She had given up hope of seeing her family again but something deep down inside her still pushed forward.

Even a slave could dream.

She had just taken her break and returned back to her life when she notices a weird man across the room. Weird was an understatement to describe many of the club goers that evening but this man though spoke to her in a way she had never felt before.

She expertly uses a dance to press a button that refills the pod with more clean Hydro Breather. For a moment the glass enclosing her becomes engulfed with a thin fog. She twirls and dances around the fog making a slew of bubbles to gas up from the liquid letting her breath.

She smiles coldly knowing that she was being watched from all angles and glances in the direction of the mysterious man but he was gone. Another eye roll around the room and she is a bit startled to find him right in front the pod. The man moves in as close as allowed to the pod and touches a button on his wristband.

"Aleca"??

In her mind she hears his whisper but being a living slave of Marco Sign required a certain degree of clever. How could he know her name? Was it a trap to test her loyalty? She could not risk it and ignores the man's communication.

"Aleca"?? It's me, Ruden!

Ruden? Where had she heard this name before? Was it one of Marcos associates? She spins around and decides to answer him back.

"Yes? How are you enjoying your night here at the Sparrow sir??
The man chuckles a bit and responds
"You don't remember me do you?"
What could he be talking about?
"I see countless people every day here sir I must admit your face does seem familiar but it does not ring a bell. I am sorry if I have offended you."

The man stares into her eyes his hoody a gray robe over his long hair.
"Aleca, I'm getting you out of here. I have a ship waiting just outside the EDOS. There is no time to explain"
"Who are you?"
"I said there is no time to explain"

Her dancing was becoming more and more obscure the Guard bot a mechanical snitch notices her apprehension and begins to record in zoom the man and Aleca.

The man and his sensors pick up the recording and he realizes time was of the essence.
He reaches into his Hoody and pulls out two tiny explosives. He expertly throws one onto the Guard and disguises the throw with a pull back of his hair.

The robot immediately notices the foreign object and begins to scan itself. The man then lets the second explosive fall and land on the foot of his Exo suit. Using his foot he places the explosive on the bottom of the pod. The robot finally realizing he has an explosive on it self and an alarm goes off.

In the security room, a surveillance member replays the last feed of the robot and sees the movements of the man. He alerts his supervisors but it's too late. A split second later they lose the feed of the robot as it and the chamber goes off in flames. The explosive tears through the robot causing it to malfunction and land on top of running patrons.

At a central command, a team is sent in to assess the situation and the half of the EDOS are put on high alert.

Aleca can not believe everything that she is seeing as the hydro breath spills out all over in front of the pod. The man then punches the remainder of the glass and creates a hole large enough for Aleca to escape. He reaches out his hand but she is reluctant to grab it.

"We have to leave NOW!"
"But this is my home," She says against her deepest emotions.
"This not your home sister your home is DIANGO"

A shot of memory pours into her brain as she finally recognizes her little brother Ruden.

"Oh my god Ruden you came to save me?"
"Yes sister lets go, now" She grabs his hand and he drapes his hoody over her almost naked body.

The Team sent to assess reaches the scene and finds the club in disarray as some of the patrons ignore the warnings and continue their drinks while some even try to steal some of the booze before leaving. A few of them are shot dead just as Aleca and Ruden leave for the getaway ship.

A chase begins as the rest of the EDOS guard staff make their way to the area surrounding the club.

Aleca and Ruden run into some of them and Ruden is forced to shoot them down with his side pistol.
He radios something into his wrist communicator and together with Aleca they manage to reach a ship yard.

Ruden finds the space pods and the two of them get in.

The pod shoots out the station and makes a course for Ruden's ship. The EDOS scanners find them and pilots are dispatched to shoot them down. Ruden flies the pod like a maniac as some Pilots find them and start to shoot.

Aleca can not believe how this night is coming to an end, she stares out the side pod through the blast windows and sees the sunrise for the first time in a long time. The pod rattles as fire from the enemy ships connect here and there.

They were not going to make it she thought. She stared at the sunset again and feels the warmth of the Sun MO. It feels her with a feeling of warmth, it was ok she thought. Better to die inside this pod trying to get to freedom then rot inside Marcos pod a slave for the rest of her life....
