RE: Read!

in #writing7 years ago

Reading is one of the greatest joys in life. It allows you to "sit" with great minds of today and yesteryear. You not only get to sit with them, but have their best material that they crafted, edited, re-edited, and re-edited again, to give you the gems of their thoughts.

There is a big learning curve in cryptocurrencies and mastering all of this. Yes, there are strange new terms. Yes, there are strange new procedures. However, I've found that if you embrace "syntopic learning" you do better. What is syntopic learning?

Gather several sources of material on a common subject. Let's say you wanted to learn about Steemit (good platform!). You'll hear terms like upvote, resteem and not to mention Steem Power, Steem Dollars and a host of other new terms.

Don't be overwhelmed but read from a variety of sources on this. Look through Steemit posts. Look at the Steemit White Paper (click on the 3 lines in the upper-right and slide down to "Steem Whitepaper" for a good start. All of this is gathering a variety of sources for your syntopic learning.

Yes, reading is powerful. It has been said many times, "Readers are Leaders." Lead yourself first by aggressively reading and learning.
