In tonight's show -Dinner with Alec-, we have a special guest. An Orcish clanlord mr. Ragosh Sharptooth.

"I am really glad you agreed to this interview, mr. Sharptooth. It is a privilege for me to be the first human doing an interview with an Orc. There are many unknowns surrounding your race and your way of life, so this will be a great opportunity for you to shed some light."


"Thank you Alec, I believe this interview has been overdue. In order for our great races to improve relations it is of paramount importance to have better understanding of each other."


" I believe so also, so continuing in that spirit I must ask you if is it true that you eat human flesh."


"Hahaha. I knew you were going to ask this. No we don't usually eat humans. As you know we are omnivores like you, but our stomachs are also equipped with special bacteria that allow us to digest carcasses. So there have been cases of some of our warriors who have been wounded in battle to eat surrounding human bodies in order to heal faster. As you are aware from our skirmishes we heal faster when we digest pure protein. So to sum it up there have been cases but only out of necessity"

"So you are not going to eat me if I make you mad. That is good to know."


"Haha, you are safe, don't worry"

"Moving on. We know of the basic orcish structure. Families organized in clans with the clanlord as a leader of a clan. This is very similar to older human socities. Tell me honestly is there any strong opposition to current political sytem in the Orcish communities."

"It is not that simple I am afraid. To correct you.  Our clans live in a system more simillar to your parlament monarchy. Our parlament, or as we call it the Council, consist of representatives of each family in a clan. These representatives are chosen by tusked members of the family. Power is balanced between the Council and a Clanlord. And Clanlord is one member of the Council chosen by the rest of the representatives. So there is no right of sucession like in your monarchies. You climb the social ladder by commiting acts of valor and bravery all the way up to the clanlord. But if you start dishonoring your family or clan, at any point,  tusked Orcs will remove you from your place of power. So in the end there is no opposition because everyone is trying to achieve what is best for the Orcs. If you want to change something you need to be noticed by your deeds"

"Interesting. You mentioned couple of times, the term -tusked Orc- What does it mean? "

"It means an orc that has grown to age to have full grown tusks. But it also means an Orc that has his family tattoo, and you can only get the tattoo when once a year all family members gather, in order to decide who is worthy of the family tattoo"

"I've heard that you don't recognize money, and that is the biggest obstacle for trade between our nations. Is it true? Because I bet Orcish products would sell like crazy here."

"That is true. We are also a nation of producers and not traders. Each clan has specialized in producing three or four goods. And those goods are then shared evenly among the clans. So we don't trade actually. We just redistribute our common blessings. What amounts and in which order is decided on quartal clanlord gatherings." We avoid usage of money because we don't individuals amassing it. We try to avoid creating society classes because all Orcs must have the same chance to prove them selves. And all Orcs should have the well-being of their entire race in their first place"
