I had never imagined that the fast of Ramadan in Aceh would be as beautiful as this one, I do not feel the weight of thirst and hunger all day, without feeling I had made it through the first three days of Ramadan perfectly, the thing that before was very rare for me.

In the past, in the place of origin and in other areas I have visited during the month of Ramadan, performing the obligations of fasting is a very torturous thing, we must refrain from thirst and hunger among those who are innocent continue to eat and drinking before us without the slightest guilt.

While here, in the area where I live, even throughout the region of Aceh, local residents interpret the month of Ramadan as a month of worship, so it can almost be ensured all citizens will increase the worship without the coercion of anyone, the kitchen in the homes no residents smoke, no signs of cooking during the day during Ramadan, the food stalls close the total until the ashar prayer time arrives, and then it will change lively when Ashr time has passed, the stalls begin to open, street vendors hawking a variety of snacks breaking the fast at the corner of the store, residents were flocking out of the house to find and buy their needs.

I also do not want to miss it, I have been in the market three days after the Ashr Prayer, I enjoy more crowded atmosphere from the passers-by shoppers, and before Maghrib arrived, before breaking the fast I also will buy a little snack as a provision to break the fast of fasting.

I go home on foot, because I do not have any vehicles here, while walking I pray, may I continue to stay and settle here to death, around the people who are obedient worship and noble heart. Amen.
