Do you have to write articles on Steemit?

I think everyone who start publishing on this website ask themselves that at least once.

If you have any idea of how the Internet works and how people get successful, then you know that posting memes and sharing videos others made isn't a great way of getting noticed and receiving money. You're just wasting your time while other people are trying to offer something to their audience.

That's why writing articles and trying to share your knowledge with other people is one of the first things you think of doing when you start using this website. If you're decent at that, and if you can come up with all kind of topics to approach, then you should be able to post several times a week and get the attention of some people.

The problem is that not everyone is capable of writing as much. Some people don't know enough English, others don't like writing while some people simply can't think of anything to write about. So, should you give up and forget about being successful on Steemit because you can't write articles? Is that the only type of content you should create?

I don't think so. I think that the best way to get successful is to learn how to offer people something. It may be useful content, it may be entertainment or it may be useful resources. No matter what it is, as long as you know how to give back, the community will notice.

If you can draw amazing things, sharing your work with others will get you some attention. If you can create music, then posting it online and giving others something good to listen to will get you attention. If you can take amazing photos, then that can get you some attention too.

As long as you focus on offering value, you will get noticed. Of course, there are things you have to do as well in order for more people to notice your work, like being consistent and making sure you write in decent English.

But, if you can do that, you can succeed no matter what type of content you create.
