Real life #1: The pseudo-friend

This happens very often, for whatever reason. Cuz we human in here! And humans are silly lol!

The moment your entire friendship was built on the pretense of them getting into a relationship with you, so they waited for their chance on the side-lines.

But then, they saw an "opening" but it didn't work out the way the planned so the flip out on you because you were a "big fat meanie" and hurt their feelings for not seeing them as relationship material the entire time and you were "playing games" with this woman or this guy while they waited on you to "get your mind together."

During the time they watched you as you had sex with other people, their fantasies grew to such an extent that they became hype over your presence and put you on a pedistal you don't belong on. While it's nice to be appreciated, it's never good to literal feel like you're holding someone's life in your hands, when you don't even feel deep emotions in that way for them.

They accuse you of leading them on, although you have been pretty upfront about how you've felt about them, as friends. You wanted to stay friends, and then you start questioning yourself and thinking, "Should I even attempted dating my friend?" Then you realize that if it didn't happen now, it would have been a point in your life that you "needed" them and they would have left you hanging, as they were not a real friend to begin with and looked at you with fantastical eyes. (Not to be confused with a true friend that needs time to recover from their hurt heart after getting their hopes up and then things not working out).

At the end of it all, you are left with a few options.

A) You try to salvage a friendship for the sake of living in the illusion that it was real, OR making an actual real friendship out of the ashes of the lust they had for you

B) Try your best to forget them, and depending on how close they were to your heart, dampen the pain of loss by getting involved with new people or a new activity

C) Give in to their demand and fake a relationship with them for as long as you can bare to hold on to their fake friendship and maybe you can develop real feelings. Likely won't happen if they don't calm down their hype, but possible.

Then you see the true option. Leave them alone and with time, maybe they will see you for a real human being, but at that time, it won't even be that serious to be their friend anymore because you'd have moved on.

What do you all think of this?
