Just breath

Deep breath in.
Deep breath out.
And again for good measure please.

It's been a day. Let me tell you.

Another battle for the ages raged in my head as light and dark fought. But, today was different than other days. In so many ways I cannot describe...it was different. And, scary. And, I hope it lasts. No, I know it will last. As long as I try and hold on to it.

People have come into my life, from seemingly out of nowhere, like bubbles rising to the surface of water. The universe smacking me time after time in the face, telling me to pay attention. Telling me there are people that care. Telling me what I do matters.

Tonight I'm smiling.

I'm laughing. I'm happy. I feel the cloak of darkness hanging off of my shoulders, but it's not controlling me. I said it in an Instagram video a couple of days ago...I can't lie to myself anymore, there's too much proof. And it's right in front of me.

The path is going to be a very long, very hard, and arduous one with many slips, of that I am sure. But, I finally feel the beginnings of a network that's going to be there for me. I know the universe has a lot of lessons left for me to learn, but I think the one it wants me to figure out now is trust. Trust in the universe. Trust in the people around me. Trust in myself.

I saw this pic and wanted to share it with you all.

The simple message of JUST BREATH at the front of my mind. It reminds me of that moment of true peace I felt on that faraway beach. No one around. Just me and the world around. All I did was take one deep slow breath after another...and of course snap this pic.

That's what I'm going to try and do each time that dark cloak begins to cinch up.

Take one deep breath after another and take back control. And, I hope you do as well, remembering this peaceful scene. Or, one that really means something to you :)
