What would you do?

The hourly chime of the ticking clock jolted me back to reality. Darn! just what I need right now.

Lain on the bare mattress was my languid body, seethed in deep thoughts. I have no idea how long l had been in this position.

How did I even get myself in this mess?...Gosh!!!

It all started 3months ago, after I had met Nancy. We had a run-in at the University library and of course, i set the ball rolling. What a damsel! She just had this charming smile, and a perfect set of white teeth.

It was always Nancy this, Nancy that and it got two of my close friends really pissed but I did not care. All I knew was that no lady had ever made me feel this way.

Severally, i did take her out to the mall, the cinemas, just name it. To say the least, I got carried away and was gallivanting. Oh, Stupid me!
I had even begun borrowing monies from friends. Dayo and Israel, my best friends tried to make me see reasons that this was utter madness but I felt that they just could not understand. Oh! the butterflies that welled my stomach each time I saw her face.

Two weeks ago, Nancy broke up with me. Prior to the breakup, she had been acting funny. Well, I cared less. The emotional tingling was long gone now, and besides my debts had already come knocking.

All my hope had been placed on the rent due from my portion of Grandpa's inheritance, but things had not been going too well at home either.
Oh Gosh! what am I gonna do?
