“I” – Vocab-ability – A More Powerful Vocabulary (This post includes the single “I” entry.)

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

This post comprises the single “I” entry of the Vocab-ability series.

It includes English words whose etymology can be traced to Greek and Latin roots.

If you learn this one root, you can learn, understand, and use each and every English word derived from that root. Vocab-ability is an easy-to use resource guide to help you understand those roots.

In total, this Vocab-ability post features only 1 entry that begins with the letter “I."

it is pretty impressive how you put it all together.

Thank you! I put a bit of effort into it, to ensure that it was interesting and effective as a learning tool. But it was all a labor of love. Hope it helps you learn a few vocab items that you are not yet familiar with.

Yeah .. today's class was excellent . I have shared a few with my students.. thanks for your effort to make our steemit community to be familiar with these vocabulary ..
Resteemed ..

Thanks for resteeeming it and passing it along to your students. I hope it helps you teach them, and hope it helps them learn.

Exactly .. it's useful for the teaching-learning process.. and will definitely help in the long run..

Wait!! "i" only has one?!.... and I was

Actually never thought about "it" before.. it's funny how the word exit contains both "ex" and "it".... "Extra trip?"

Yep. Only one entry. Of course, there were other words in Greek and Latin that began with "I", but the only one that is commonly used in English is this one.

So similar to Italian! Thanks for sharing! I hope your vocab went well!

Yep, similar because many of these roots come from Latin. Glad you like them.
