THE TRUE VALUE OF EDUCATION
Albert Einstein in his words said "education is the training of the mind to think and not the training of the mind to recall only".
We live in a time where the educational system has been bastardised and blinded with the fact that all you need to make a difference is a certificate and good grades. Now, a good number of young people only have one goal and purpose for seeking for education and that is to get a certificate with good grade
And so many go to different lengths in other to make this happen. Some cram, some involve in all forms of malpractice.
At the end of the day a good certificate with good grades are produced but at the expense of their future and the true purpose of education defeated.
Don't get me wrong, certificates are important, good grades are excellent. But at the expense of what. If you acquire good grades without acquiring the ability to think and solve real life problems, of what use is that?
what will you bring to the table of employers as ideas that will make them bid for your service in their organisations.
You need to acquire the the necessary nitty gritty required to sustain you in a competitive society as this.
If you are a young person, I advise you to develop yourself into an asset who can solve real life problems because dumping faint theories in your head is hazardous.
If you are still an undergraduate, strategically think of how you can become a solution to real life problems while you passionately study hard for good grades. Stop wasting your energy on malpractices, it makes your brain dull.
Can I shock you?
You sharpen your brain when you allow it think instead of looking for an easy way out. That's how to become creative.
The society has placed so much importance on certificates to the point that students no longer see the need to be useful in the society.
If that's the system you see in your country, you should choose to be wise before you fall among jobless youths blaming the government for everything.
Use your head; most importantly, USE YOUR HANDS.
You are all you need to stand out.
Don't become a liability trapped in some filthy mediocrity.

Strongly agree, students generally look for good grades, just to please their parents and stand out among their family members, teachers and group of friends.
There are many cases of students who did not excel or thought like that, and in the area of work they are more efficient than those with high grades.
Besides learning a trade, it is also vital to develop a society.

Nice write ups I particularly like this line
"If you acquire good grades without acquiring the ability to think and solve real life problems, of what use"
keep on the good work
You have said it all, so many people chase after getting a certificate and forget to acquire a skill or develop their talents and this is largely due to pressure from close minded parents
