Writing Confession: I Am Not Taking My Dream Seriously
I woke up with the plan to just finish episode one. I had visions of sitting in my so-called studio. But there was a brunch at the hall and I had to go. Then a friend dropped by and we had to visit.
She brought over some electronics to give to me so I had to figure out how usable they were. I love playing with old laptop. I got some malware off the laptop and reset the android tablet. Then I was sleepy so had a nap and more friends stopped over.
Finally it was time to write my episode but yesterday I got this in the mail and I had to think about starting a zentangle
It's evening now and all the neighbors have gone to the ice cream social. I don't go. That's a story for another post but I don't eat ice cream much and beside, I do want to get some writing done now. I love the cool of the evening. I am setting aside my new tiles and will reward myself with them tomorrow.
Even though I am slow to get this done, Steemit has been helpful because I feel obliged to post my procrastinating habits here. It forces me to face facts. The fact is, I know when the quiet times of the day are and they are not in the middle of a sunny Sunday afternoon.
I know that so when I plan my Monday, I will take that into account. I really will.

That's the trouble with having friends. They sometimes come over.

I like it when they do but have to find a less busy time to get my writing done -- if I seriously am going to do it.
Well, Joanne, you've given me a way to distract myself from the business at hand (working on my PLR articles). Yes, now I have to research 'zentangles.' I don't know what they are and can't stand that it sounds like something fun that I don't know about. Yes, there are always so many ways to distract me - it's amazing I ever get anything done.
LOL. This happened to me last week. I remembered how soothing Zentangles are and knew that I needed to slow down all the chattering in my surroundings to focus on writing fiction. So I have the new tiles all set up for my morning meditation.
Kate and Joanne, I used to doodle / zentangle quite a bit. I need to get my pens and heavy paper out. It's fun to make cards because I hate spending all that time and just have random pieces of paper in the end. It is very relaxing!
