CONSISTENCY
CONSISTENCY!!!!!
We all have wondered how some people are able to achieve huge success in their field of specialization, while others work just as hard but achieve no or little amount of success.
One could say that those who achieves huge level of success are more intelligent or maybe more ambitious or possibly just luckier than the other people in the second group(those who achieve no or very little amount of success)
The above are of course some key vital factors that certainly can help people achieve their goals.
However, there is just one very vital ingredient that goes into success that is more important than anything else. And that ingredient comes in the form of CONSISTENCY.
This leads to the definition of CONSISTENCY.
To be CONSISTENT means to fully dedicate yourself completely to a goal. Simply say fully stat engaged or dedicated to a course without distractions.
To be consistent requires a commitment on your part. It requires that you commit yourself to a sustained effort of action over a long term. It simply means your drive to achieve your goals.
Consistency is all about your ability to be dependable, reliable and responsible for all your choices, decisions and actions.
Consistency is all about building small empowering habits that you partake in every single day that keeps you focused on your highest priorities and goals.
To be consistent means to focus on present moment while maintaining a long term view that helps you measure your results and the impacts of your daily actions .
Consistency is therefore all about REPETITON. It's about repeating the same actions over and over again and adjusting them accordingly to help you stay on track as you work towards your goals.
For example you start learning a skill you tend to see that as each day goes by with practice and efforts you tend to improve in whatever it is you are doing.
WHY PEOPLE STRUGGLE WITH CONSISTENCY.
The idea to stay consistent(focused) seems very simple on the outside, most people do struggle with this idea.
For example a student might say he/she will study every night, it seems so easy while saying it but the big problem now is following up this goal.
Most people, especially youths of this generation are simply not focused, committed enough to stick with a plan or goal on the short term for long term results.
For example in monetary aspect, we see that most people are not focused and patient enough to grow up something(it could be a skill or business) rather, they want to make money overnight. And this could lead them into indulging on so many bad activities.
They key reason why most people struggle with staying consistent over long term is that they live for short term.
The habit of consistency isn't about obtaining quick results. It is however about making progress and improvement over an extended period of time.
Consistency In action is not purely about repetition of an action over and over again. It's about learning, growing and adapting your actions that can help lead to improvements over an extended period of time.
We all have to start somewhere, and doing something is better than nothing at all. Start small so you don't get discouraged and give up. Remember it's all about consistency - khole Kardashian
