Meeting the Crew
“All members assigned to mission Falcon Landing, please report to the briefing room” A voice said over the intercom
Reno and Musk walked together towards the briefing room in silence.
Reno opened the door to the briefing room where they were received by 4 familiar faces all with a grin.
Around the briefing table stood back up commander Serenity Wither, followed by Mission Specialist Logan Range, Science Officer Valerie Martinez and Flight Engineer Kolby Young .
This crew for this mission had been hand selected by Captain Musk and had been working with him for several years.
Musk had full confidence in the team he had chosen, he knew that every single one of his comrades was just as invested in mission as he was.
Serenity was first to break the silence
“Sooo is it good news or bad news Captain” she asked.
Captain musk with a smile said, “Ladies and gentlemen gear up, we are going to Mars”
Kolby couldn’t help his excitement and let out a louder “Yes!!” then had intended to, but what can you expect after all he was the youngest member of the team. Even though he was only 20, he had one of the sharpest minds Musk had ever seen.
At 16 Kolby had graduated with honors from AAT, one of the top flight and engineering schools in the world.
Kolby had attended one of Musk’s public space conferences when he was 18 . He caught Musk's eye when in the conference Kolby gave his opinion on how the Hypercore engine could be improved using photonic powerbeams.
Short after Captain Musk reached out to Kolby and offered him a life changing job at Interspace and he has been working under Musk ever since.
