BATTLEWOM Tales: The beginning
"One day, when you're old enough, maybe you will be a BattleWom like my sister," BabyWom's mum said as she showed him how to eat carrots.
"Wom!" said BabyWom as he munched on the wonderful orange roots. "Wom, Wom, Wom!!!
"You wait until you taste strawberries!" his mother said.
A loud growling sound came from over the hill and his mother screamed: "Run, little Wom. Run!"
And he was running, his mum behind him. The roar became deafening, and strange lights slashed into the night - and then she was gone, attacked by a dark shadow with evil red shining pimples shining on its bottom.
It had killed her, and raced away, its roar echoing through the night.
Baby Wom didn't stop. He ran faster than he had ever run. "I will be a BattleWom. I will be a BattleWom! I WILL BE A BATTLEWOM!" he screamed into the sky.
Babywom ran.
And he ran.
And he ran.
And when he could run no more, he dug a hole, deep and dark, and he screamed.
Time passed, and it wasn't easy. Babywom fell in with a bad crowd. After a while, his friends began to call him GrrrWom, on account of his growling a lot. And he got a bad haircut. Kinda punk. Kinda just... GrrrWom.
But one day, as he was out looking for stuff to steal, GrrrWom bumped into another Wom.
GrrrWom remembered him. He had treated GrrrWom kindly, even though it was GrrrWom's intention to steal the magic stones the Wom carried.
"You don't want my carrots." said the Wom.
"I don't want your carrots?" said GrrrWom.
"You don't want anything from me," said the Wom.
"I don't want anything from you?" said GrrrWom "Seriously?"
"Nope," said the Wom. "But I'm going to give you something anyway. Seek out Matilda, the Moon Monkey. She will help you in your quest."
"But I don't have a quest," said GrrrWom.
"Want you not to be a BattleWom?" asked the Wom...

What a concept! The making of Battlewom. So good. This part had me in stitches: "And when he could run no more, he dug a hole, deep and dark, and he screamed." Still laughing now. :-D
