Article - The history of music artists: The case of the band U2!
U2 is a rock band from Ireland. They consist of Bono (Paul David Hewson) doing vocals and guitar, The Edge (David Howell Evans) on guitar, piano, and vocals, Adam Clayton with bass and Lawrence Mullen jr. with drums. Hence, the band U2 consists of 4 persons. Since the 1980s, the band has been one of the most popular band! They have sold apprximately 170 millions of plates worldwide, and they have got most Grammy-awards of all the artists that have got a Grammy. They have been recognized as singing about political issues and about enviromental protection. Hence, they have understood that any environment should not work inward but outward! U2 has also received other awards, and they are demanded for their supply several places.
U2 is a fancy name. You and I are included in their environment, and there is always things to be together with with something, but you need humans to get development and business evolution for every firm. U2 must sell itself to the people, and they should control their costs. Accordingly, U2 is in business life as everyone of us. Today, you find their music on YouTube, Spotify and Deezer.
U2 was initially rooted in post-punk. But it has evolved gradually, and today the music from the group is within rock. The band is formed in 1976 in Dublin. The most known song for U2 today, is «With and without you», and that song is about being present or absent in a society or in a group you belong to. Other popular songs are «One» and «Sunday Bloody Sunday». Another popular song is «Beautiful Day». U2 is a group many love, and you can be from whatever place and whatever country, being involved with commitment and empowerment by following the band and its performances several places. Bands are branding and marketing, and you should use dialogues and interviews from getting the atmosphere and servicescape among the band members and among the people listening to the music.
U2 was consisted in Dublin after Lawrence Mullen jr. as a 14 years old hung a note at the school where he searched for several band members. The start for U2 was 6 members, and they called themselves for «Feedback». All the members of the band were pupils at Mount Temple High School in Dublin. The band continued to play and sing by calling the band for The Hype, and after a while they took the name U2, because you should also be included with warmth and engagement in the society.
U2 has visited Norway several times with their performances. The first time U2 held their concert in Norway was in Oslo in December 1982. They also held a concert in Norway in 1983 and in 1985. It took around 8 years before they held the next concert in Norway. They did songs from «Achtung Baby» with live transfers in media from the wars in Sarajevo, and the calling to the Fisheries Jan Henry T. Olsen (No-fish Olsen!) on whaling.
Other popular songs from U2 are: «The Unforgettable Fire», «Rattle and Hum», «All That You Can’t Leave Behind», «How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb», «No Line on the Horizon», «Songs of Innocence» and «Songs of Experience». Hence, they are singing about things that can happen in life, and what life really is.
We love U2 as a group, and the name and the band have been very famous and admired among many people in the world. We can give them information, consultancy and advices, but the most important thing to have is quality in the music. When U2 entertain people, people will pay for it!
