The Vision of the Whales

It was 6th of January. The weather was good, mysteriously, all over the world. It was cold in some places, very cold in some of them, warm in other ones. But there was light everywhere, the sun was shining and warming those accepting its gift.

The whales were playing around, singing their songs, taking deep dives in the oceans. Some others were just enjoying the day... End was on his laptop planning for the big picture of the platform, And was playing snowball with 5 friends, Time was spending his free time by the sea and the trees, Sweet was recalling all the places she had visited. Dolphins all around watching the life, diving in it, tasting its sorrows and its joys, and thousands of minnows swimming unfocused here and there...

Suddenly, a soft pain at the neck made all whales look up at the sun. Its light withdrew and a message appeared in the sky for all of them at the same time. The "Δ" (delta/difference) symbol of change with an increasing radius circle around it.

They all thought and whispered the following same words: "Change, make the difference, expand beyond the Ocean. We are here for a revolution. World and people will always have their ups and downs, but it is the general level of quality of life, the quality of minds that needs to be raised. We have been given a tool, an infrastructure to use. We have to lead the change, and spread the message. Steemit and cryptocurrencies are not here for money. They are the tools of special people receiving a calling on the 6th of January to ignite the change of the world".

Some of them were feeling dizzy, some moved their heads around and rubed their necks and heads. Sweet, End, Time, And the rest called each other and described their experience. At the begining they were reserved to talk on the exact experience but when their interlocutors understood the case, they presented with enthusiasm what had happened to them. A secret meeting was arranged to take place among them in a small vilage by the centre of the world as considered by ancient Greeks; in Delphi. About a hundrent whales gathered on the mountain of Apollo, the god of arts, light and knowledge to turn an oracle into reality.

Differences and everything separating them were left aside and a new Big Plan was designed. At some points there was fear, there were issues and difficult details to be resolved but the vision was there, a one and only vision.

Steemit would change.

1. A percentage of both authoring and curating rewards would be gathered in a steem-fund.
2. A list of philanthropic organizations and scopes would become available for steemians to decide where their part of contribution would go to.
3. A team of Steemians with highly ethical and technical standards - voted by the community- would undertake the management of the fund.
   3.1 2/3 of the fund would be directly offered to the selected organizations.
   3.2 1/3 of the fund would be invested in cryptocurrencies and other assets for multiplying the benefit of its scope.
   3.3 Partners of crypto exchanges, great managers and philanthropists, funds, and others would be approached to be presented the idea and contribute to it.
4. The wheat would be separated from the chaff in steemit. Those not contributing and wanting only they own good would be gradually expelled.
5. People of art and science and thinkers would use their talents and knowledge to create wealth for the good reasons.

Ideas and principles and plans were prepared. It took 7 months to reconstruct the platform. Within a year from the announcement of the vision and its consequent changes the active users were decreased by 60%. But after that the light of the new scope took over so many people that the one step taken by the community of steemit became a wave all over similar platforms. Minnows had a focus, a real important one; to help. All other benefits might come or not but were not the main objective. Dolphins were the guardians and guides of the schools of minnows towards art and knowledge. Whales became the philosophers of the effort beyond the platform itself.

A New Republic was being built... World is changing with new ways of thinking and new means.

The whales were singing together and their song was breaking the glass of stereotypes of our society.
