Steemit Fiction Editor for Hire (Short Stories / Novellas / Novels)

I’ve noticed we have a pretty large group of writers constantly adding up excerpts or full on chapters of their work to the site, which is fantastic. But often the comments people leave can be minimal at best and spammy at worst.

I don’t know about any of you, but I always preferred having my work torn apart (constructively!) by my classmates. Hearing what’s working is great and strokes the ego, but it doesn’t tell you what needs fixing, so I always liked hearing the negative stuff over the positive stuff. I was looking to become a better writer, not have my ass kissed.

Having said that, I’m still relatively new to the Steemit platform, but I’m not at all new to the writing/editing/publishing aspect of literature. I imagine there are some people out there who would love some critiques of their work from a fresh pair of unbiased eyes.

I can tell you that while I have my own special preferences as to what I like to read and write in my spare time, writing is writing and critiques (as long as they’re valid and constructive) work in pretty much any genre, so I can read and critique on anything. I’m not terribly keen on wizards, vampires, or romance (or weird blendings of all three), but you’ll get a fair and in-depth assessment from me.

Obviously as this would be time-consuming, payment would (and should) be expected. This could be given in the form of SBD.

How much SBD, you might ask? I honestly have no idea. And this stems from my naivete with Steemit and the conversion rates. I deal in words, not numbers, but I'd like it to be fair for both parties involved, so I'm open to suggestions.

We can haggle over the SBD-to-Pages Critiqued ratios later, but just know that I’ll be willing to give people honest, in-depth critiques should they be looking. For proof that I know what I’m doing, I work as the Senior Content Editor for a corporate firm with over 100 locations worldwide. I’ve written sales proposals for multimillion dollar clients.

I’ve also put out a book and had 30+ stories published in the last 6 years. You can find more on me in my bio below.

Please feel free to reach out with questions, or, if you happen to have experience with this kind of thing and can offer up some basic SBD-to-Critique rates, that’d be stellar as well.

Thanks for reading!

P.S. - The tattoo on my left arm is a huge feather quill pen that goes from my shoulder to the crook of my arm and appears as if it's being dipped into a spilled bottle of ink on my forearm. You know...just in case you had any questions about how serious I am about the written word.

Hey, a thing I've been thinking about doing here is publishing a long form fiction piece in serial form. I think it would be cool to do among a dedicated base. What do you think?

i don't think it's a bad idea at all, actually, depending on whether you think people will actually read it. i did it with one of my stories not too long ago to middling results, but i say go for it!
