ARCHITECTURAL ISTANA MAIMUN | MEDAN, INDONESIA

Pada penampilan arsitektur kali ini, saya mencoba melakukan sharing mengenai "istana maimun" yang merupakan ikon wisata kota medan. Istana maimun memiliki desain arsitektur yang penuh makna oleh pendirinya. Bangunan ini dibangun oleh Sultan Mahmud Al Rasyid yang membutuhkan 3 tahun masa penyelesaian pembangunan mulai dari tahun 1888 sd 1891. Istana ini kini dijadikan sebagai tempat belajar sejarah masa lampau dan tempat wisata sejarah bagi pengunjung. > In this architectural performance, I tried to share about "maimun palace" which is the icon of Medan city tour. Maimun Palace has an architectural design full of meaning by its founder. The building was built by Sultan Mahmud Al Rashid who requires 3 years of completion of construction starting from 1888 until 1891. The palace is now used as a place to learn the history of the past and historical attractions for visitors.

Ketika kita melakukan kunjungan ke istana maimun banyak hal yang dapat kita pelajari, mulai dari bentuk istana dengan ciri khas melayu dengan warna yang elegan, sejarah pembangunan, maupun mencoba pakaian istana untuk merasakan menjadi penghuni istana.

When we make a visit to the palace maimun many things we can learn, ranging from of a castle with Malay characteristic with elegant colors, development history, or trying to dress palace to feel inhabitants of the palace.

Menurut info yang dikemukakan bahwa desain istana maimun dibuat oleh T.H Van Herp yang merupakan orang belanda pada masa itu. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari keadaan istana maimun yang memiliki perpaduan budaya belanda baik dari perabotan istana, gaya prasasti dan bahkan tulisan yang digunakan.

According info desain palace was proposed the design of the maimun palace was made by T.H Van Herp who was a Dutchman at that time. This can be seen from the state of the maimun palace which has a blend of Dutch culture both from palace furniture, inscription style and even the writing used.
