Chemical Serpents: Recap #1
Chemical Serpents: Symbols of Illumination
As an experiment I used the scheduling feature of Streamian to post the first section of this book in instalments whilst I was away on holiday. However, now I am home I see that these posts never showed up under their respective tags. A little disappointing, and may go some way to explaining why most of them didn't gather as many votes as I'd hoped.
Still, perhaps this is a good time to recap and link to the posts from the Introduction and Chapter 1, for those of you who missed them the first time round.
The writing is my own and combines history, mythology, symbolism and mystical tradition. I also wrote this text in E-Prime in order to avoid making dogmatic statements concerning the subject matter. Especially important when comparing similar symbols from different cultures.
Each post contains illustrations from @janiceduke. Half the reward for each post will be donated to the artist, as per our agreement with regards royalties. The introduction and Serpents contain what in the book were full page artworks, that illustrate the chapter in a more interpretative manner. The sub chapters of Caduceus, Asklepian and Ouroboros contain smaller illustrations designed to illustrate the text more directly.
This is the first time this text has been available without the purchase of one of the two editions of the book.

I'm glad you like what you've read so far. Thanks for the @randowhale vote. Myself and @janiceduke really appreciate it.
You're very welcome. I know what it's like to post material close to your heart and receive little attention. I hope your work receives endless light when you reach the end of the tunnel. :)
