STR Gazer Chapter 7

The five pull up in an alley across the street from the substation in an old black ground transport with "Suburban" printed on the back.

"Everyone's com on channel 9." Aries says while iddely checking his tazer pistol.

"Check" Everyone says one by one except Xalissa and Xavier who say it in unison. Jelun pours 5 shots of Absynthe from behind the wheel and hands one to everyone.

"Smash and dash" Xavier says raising his shotglass.

"Smash and dash" everyone says and downs their shot.

"You up whiz kid" Areis says as he nods to Alashie. She slips out of the back door and kneels at the corner of the alley. She pulls a small ball out of her first tool belt and simultaniously presses the top and bottom. The ball projects a ring around it that made it resemble the planet Saturn. With a gentle toss the little Saturn flys 40 ft in the air and slowly settles itlelf over the middle of the substation. Alashie pulls out a handheld computer and watches as each of the systems of the substation pop up on her menu.

"I'm in. Cams and doors are mine." Alashie says getting back in the transport.

"Xièxiè." Xalissa says taking the handheld. Everyone gets out of the transport. "I'm looping the camera feed now. Hey Lashie you changed the software on this?"

"Yeah. It's like that Sailor Moon game you like so much now." Alashie says smiling.

"You silly mija." Xalissa says pulling Alashie close. "Wait for my signal." she says to Aries slapping his butt as she walks past. Alashie narrows her eyes ever so slightly. She jogs across the street and starts cutting a hole in the fence with a small cutting torch dangling from her keyring. After the hole is cut she checks the handheld for a few minutes and swipes her finger a couple of time. The crew can hear the faint sound of anime characters powering up coming from across the street as Xalissa disappears through the hole.

"Wèizhì" Xavier says as she leads the rest of the group to flank the freshly cut hole. In the coms they hear Xalissa say "Wèizhì qù" Jelun and Xavier go one way while Aries goes the other jogging toward the building. Alashie goes back to the transport and start up the silenced engine. For what seems like an eternity all Alashie hears is silence. Then she hears Aries whisper "Group B down." Almost 10 seconds later she hears Xavier say with a laugh "Group A lunch interrupted.". The gate to the compound begins to open and Alashie drives up to it. "Lissa you good? You didn't check in." Alashie says as she pulls in the yard.

"You see the gate open right" Xalissa says through slight static.

Alashie pulls into the garage bay and immediately goes to work. Grabbing tools from all three tool belts she starts stripping off exterior panels of Federation patrol units to get to her targets. Aries walks in the bay with an arm full of huge circuit boards. "You can use these right?" he asks.

"Uh huh" Alashie responds not looking away from the gun she was working on.

"You should know better than to talk to her when she gets like that." Xavier says walking in.

"It's like watching an artist at work creating a masterpiece." Jelun says admiringly

" Look at this loonie getting all potetic" Xavier says

"What did you call my brother?" Aries says in a dark tone.

"What? Ó, tiān nǎ. Sorry. You muthafuckas are so sensitive."

"Um...excuse me." Alashie says while nodding to the various parts lying neatly on the floor. Aries, Jelun, and Xavier start loading the parts into the back of their transport. Alashie was stripping off parts almost as fast as the trio could carry them. After 30 minutes Alashie stands up and wipes the sweat off of her brow. "Almost done"

" By the power of the moon! Wǒ huì chéngfá nǐ!!! Xalissa says through the com while popping bubble gum.

"Holy shit you're loud! You up there playing games? You bored? We could use ya help down here." Xavier scolds.

"Little bro I ain't playing games. Well kinda. But I just cracked the extra security on the evidence locker and the server room. You welcome."

"Ya'll go load up. I'll help Alashie finish up here." Aries ordered.

Xalissa walks into the garage bay as Alashie was closing the doors to the suburban. "We done?" she asks

"As soon as Xavier and Jelun get back we dash." Aries answers. " Xavier what's the hol.....

"What the fuck you doing!?" Xavier yells in the com.

"Federation moso nan kaka" Jelun says out of breath.

"What's your status!?" Aries says walking briskly to the door and checking his weapon.

"We good. We good. One of the guards woke up and this idiota started fucking him up."

"Get back here we gotta go." Aries orders. When Xavier and Jelun walk in Aries grabs Jelun by the arm and begins to yell at him in Creole. Xalissa and Alashie exchange a knowing look as everyone gets back into the loaded transport. ".....chalè nou pa bezwen. And you know better during a job!" Aries finishes as he slams the door. Jelun puts the transport in gear with tears of anger in his eyes .

"Smash and dash." Xavier says raising a freshly poured shotglass

"Smash and dash" everyone except Jelun says as they down their shots.
